Taarabt put Arsenal to the sword on Saturday with the opening goal in QPRâs 2-1 victory at Loftus Road - his first goal in the Premier League this campaign. The Moroccan international was a mercurial force in the Championship last season with 19 goals and Wenger says the 22-year-old must now find consistency. âHe is a very talented football player,â said the Arsenal manager. âHe has shown here that he has talent, that I knew. But he has to produce these kinds of performances on a consistent level. âNo [I have never tried to sign him]. He was in Lens and then he went to Tottenham. He is a good player with good potential but he has to produce that week in, week out.â http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/wenger-taarabt-now-needs-some-consistency?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+arsenal-news+%28News+Feed%29 Nice words from an absolute legend of a manager
TBH Tarbs has not met the high standards that he set last year , what he did on saturday shows he can do it at the highest level and can do it against the best teams , we just need to see it more often. If he did it everyweek he would be gone very soon, just 3 more displays like that will do me this season. I do feel that our fait could be in his hands , a couple of pieces of magic might just keep us up.
It was a great performance but the cynic in me is whispering that it was no surprise that he reserved this for the Gunners. He has indicated before that Arsenal are the type of club he wants to play for and his best mate Shamack is in residence there of course. If we have Wenger watching all of our games until the end of the season we just might stay up.
Adel was quick to swap shirts at the end of the game, maybe he wanted to show Wenger how he'd look playing in red!!
After his first goal all season? It takes a lot more than one good performance to get a move to a top Club. Managers know all about players like Tarbs. No good to them unless they do it regularly.
Of course Finn, my mistake. I meant a glory-hunting, Monolithic, soul-less, business type Club. Not like our little gem.
True, but he's been unsettled, played in acon, hit woodwork a few times... I think that what wenger knows about adel is that he is a footballing genius and has the potential to perform magic every week. Hope not though, I want the adel we saw on Saturday to become the rangers legend he ought to become.
Taarabt even off par by his standards has still looked the best i have seen at LR for as many years as i can remember. This lad is very very special and will be a world beater without doubt . I rate him in the top three promising players in Europe no hestitation
