Lets hope the MoM curse strikes again on 19 October. Be great if we could emulate last season by beating Arsenal and then going 10 games unbeated!

And there was me thinking someone had started a thread for us all to sing Wenger's praises and eat humble pie for all the ridicule heaped upon him in the summer! <laugh> <ok>

Not an Arsenal fan myself but he deserves it after all the **** he took.Signing Octupus Eyes looks liike a master stroke. He's the new Fergie although less congenial.Being a curmudgeon myself I rather like him.

certainly made a very promising start. still not convinced they'll last the pace though. same applies to liverpool. i fully expect man city and chelsea to leapfrog both clubs as the season progresses and in all likelihood, united will as well. will spurs?

Can't argue with the start they've made this season, Ozil indeed looks an inspired deadline day signing - as does Flamini who is getting very few of the plaudits but from what my Arsenal supporting mates tell me has been as vital as anyone to their success so far - and surely nobody would have expected Ramsey to start the season in the way he has. Giroud even looks a different player this season, can't argue at all that things are definitely very rosey in the Arsenal garden right now and Mr. Wenger is at his most charming, and most affable as he generally is when things are going well.

My problem with Wenger is not when they're winning as he's always very genial and likeable when he's on top, but it's when things start going against him he turns into a completely different character, one that I cannot stand. Let's see how long his current demeanour lasts for, I suspect they won't be able to maintain this pace for the rest of the season and I'd be concerned if and when Giroud gets injured or loses form as they're hardly blessed with options up front. I'd also worry about the defence who don't have the best injury records either (Koscielny, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Sagna all spend a lot of time on the treatment table) and I think Chelsea and Man City have better all round squads. However I guess Arsenal do have Walcott, the Ox and Cazorla all to come back in so it's certainly a good time to be a gooner right now <ok>

when people said they needed to sign four or five more players in the summer, they all said it for a very good reason.

that reason will become apparent as the season draws on <ok>

still, its nice, refreshing, to see a more competitive league at the top for once.
