After months of being hounded into spending some money he blows Arsenal's entire transfer budget on strengthening the one part of their team they didn't need to strengthen, leaving the rest of their team well short.

Stinks to me of a transfer made just to appease the fans. Arsenal really are no better off, even though he is a great player.

Wenger's like Sting. He'll **** Arsenal over and over again, but they'll only orgasm once a decade <ok>

Podolski out for 3 months but with Wenger being the genius he is he has already strengthened Arsenal's forward line. Oh wait, he hasn't.

does anyone agree with all this talk of "if Arsenal and Man Utd had signed the opposite players than that would be exactly what they needed"?

No not really, we needed strength in midfield and now we've got it.

Would have also loved Ozil though, he's genuine class.

I think Arsenal will be ok. Walcott can play through the middle. They've also got the best centre forward in Europe!

Ozil is better than Bale. Not the first time Real have shipped out a top player to bring in an inferior one who is more in vogue.

Despite Spurs buying every player AVB had heard of they will finish below Arsenal because of the Ozil signing.

    Bale is a match winner.

    Ozil is a play maker.

Ozil is a fantastic player & therefore a great signing for Arsenal

However, there's little point in having one of the best No.10's on the planet creating chances for you, if you've not got a World Class striker to put the ball in the net.

Arsenal are woefully short up front & an injury to Giroud would see them totally knackered. I can't understand why they didn't buy a striker this window, that's poor judgement imo.

Surely you were too young/incarcerated/institutionalised to remember Bergkamp Meth?

    Now now.

For someone who was making threads wondering why we are all falling out that's unnecessarily provocative.

    That's ridiculous.

Ozil would have to perform consistently for YEARS in the PL before they can even start to compare the two...

Can't agree. Bale is a match winner and has proved it time and time again. he is similar to Ronaldo in that sense.

Ozil is a creative playmaker. I would have loved him to go to United as we need one of his type in addition to Kagawa. But he is no Bale !!!

Bale was Spurs last year. We'll see how they do without him even though they have brought expensive signings...<ok>
