Hi not 606ers. First post up on here.

Sorry if I'm late with this but . . .

    Wenger-in-shock-Defoe-move

    Do we see this happening?

    Is this a good idea?

I personally would rather Keane and Crouch go to be replaced. Pav and Defoe, I think have more to give.

    What say you?

One thing is for certain, Harry and Levy are going to go over-board on strikers this Summer. As a club, we simply cannot afford for our current strikers to have another barren season like the last, and the only way that the management can ensure that is to buy at least two more (top) strikers. I wouldn't be surprised if Harry went for three. I think we've already seen with Harry's attitude that he's quite prepared for any player to leave is he isn't pulling his weight. He's made those kinds of noises with both Pav and, more recently, Defoe. I fully expect at least one of those to go in the Summer, and I think Defoe knows he's not going to get the same chances as he's been given in the past.

It would annoy me if Defoe did leave, because it would mean that he simply doesn't have the bottle to stay and fight for his place. Then again, he's left us in the past, so it wouldn't be the first time he's done this; and why would we want to keep a player who lacks bottle, anyway?

As for him going to Arsenal, if they stump up the cash for him, they can have him. Why would it be a problem? It wouldn't be anything like the time we lost Berbatov.

Good points. I agree with you on this. I guess it all depends on who comes in to replace. This 'Drogba" talk also sets up next season as a very interesting one.

Given his habit of playing wingers up front, Wenger's more likely to sign Bentley...

It was in the Daily Star. So it's got to be true, right??

If he plays as badly for Arsenal as he did for us last season then why not?

I would love it if Defoe went to the Goons!

Remember when they were giving it large with all that "agent Gallas" stuff? Well, right up until "agent" Gallas started to turn in some decent shifts for us, then it all stopped.

The thing is, that if Whinger truly believes that Defoe is a good replacement for the soon-to-be-departed Bendtner, he's in for a massive disappointment!

    Come on, agent Defoe!
