I never understood why Arsene Wenger was (and still is) stalling on his contract. After all the team is doing great, top of the table, bla bla bla .... Today it crossed my mind that Wenger knows too well that his team may yet again collapse spectacularly comes February/March. I think whatever he says in public, he knows better than anyone what his team is worth and that they are not there yet.. So I guess he is waiting for the end of March to see where we are. I do not think he wants to suffer another wave of abuse should we slip to 3rd/4th place. He KNOWS it is very possible.
Have to disagree, the guy is totally oblivious to criticism, he seems to actually believe he's still king of the hill. He's probably holding out for more money, or renewed terms, maybe he gets a bonus now if we finish 5th instead of 4th?
