Wenger has any amount of money available apparently and cant sort his defensive problems. Also has the added attraction of champions league football each season. So why do we assume larry should be able to sort ours with no budget and nothing special to offer the journeyman football

    He doesnt have no budget....

Wenger has always seemed to have a problem with recruiting defenders.

If by a miracle then we got promoted can you imagine what the prem teams would do to our back four week in week out and if we are competing with the likes of Arsenal for defenders and with Larry's lack of competence when it comes to signing a defender it doesn't look well.

Theres a couple of points to be made here. Were not in any danger of being promoted with our present defence. We will need a defence capable of keeping a clean sheet in every second game to have any chance of promotion. The follow on then is if we get a defence to that stage, we would probably be able to survive in the premiership with some further improving. Your original point is correct that our current appalling defence would not work in the top flight. Were not going to have to worry about it for a long time to come

I think we would both settle for mid table mediocrity this season!

It is what I had settled for before a ball had been kicked this season. You only had to look at teams who were investing in players and what Leeds were doing to realise we were not going to be a contender this season.

I wouldnt be happy with mid-table, we are leeds united, we should be contending for Autos. And call me stupid, but i EXPECT leeds to be at least in top 6 and if they are not larry should get sacked.

We do have a team good enough to get promotion, if we get the right formula at the back, we have got this. We score enough goals, we just need to sort the defence and i dont actually think we are far off

:O:O Leeds Fans settle for mid-table mediocrity? surely not. I won't be happy with anything below play off places. I think SG should get sacked if below top ten. Come on... were LEEDS UNITED.

We're 3 points off 5th with a game in hand with our next two games against Donny and Cov. BELIEVE!!! We still have the best attack in the league, and while selling Gradel and getting no-one too significant in (although Pugh is a great signing IMO) looks terrible, that doesn't account for the likes of Ross and Clayton stepping up. If the defence stays sorted we will be very strong.
