I was wondering the same thing, I know its against the law to drink on coaches but was hoping there may be a coach which doesn't mind as long as you dont take the piss. If not i reckon a coke bottle 3/4 full of vodka and the rest coke for me!!

Think there may be a couple of us on our coach that maybe hoping to have a sneaky one (coughs, me and Filey). But we are going on a private one (not TT).

Why not post on fan sites and twitter to see how much interest there is then book a minibus/coach to suit?

Best thing would be to travel by chinook to avoid the awful roads and traffic around there.

Why not rent a minibus between friends and split the cost? surely hire for a couple of days is only £100 or so.

Ours is £27.50, plus we don't have to try and get out of the KC when we get back. Over 100 coaches are going from the KC. Is it approx 50 peeps per coach? So 5000+ people trying to get out at that time of night is gonna be a bit of a mare.

If you are driving down and not bothered about going into central London, I can recommend parking at a station on the Chiltern line - Denham, Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield, High Wycombe etc. Quick/simple and cheap train journey direct to the stadium. Come off the M1 at junction 23a and cut across to the M40 which will take you to all the stations mentioned above.

No coach operator will risk his licence carrying booze.

Ditto minibuses (driver will excuse the pun) carry the can should the OB search the vehicle.

In short get pissed at rugby en route , in or outside Twickers - ok yah

Football en route to Wembley - confiscation/prosecution.

You are allowed to consume THEIR alcohol at a grossly exorbitant price at Wembley.

And to think we wanted to host a World Cup <laugh>

It's illegal to drink on a coach on the way to a football match?

That is ****ing stupid. I just assumed it was company policies that they didn't want to host a mass piss up on their coaches for a long distance journey.

Never been on a coach to a football game.

I didn't know it was the law. The discrimination the law gets away with against football fans is disgusting, imagine if they decided to ban alcohol on coaches travelling to say a gay rights march or something?
