Agree with the Skipper, has to be three points, nothing less will do if we are to keep within touching distance of the leaders and reading their forum earlier in the week it looks as if they will be short of quite a few of their regulars so a great time to cash in, and especially so as I will be going along to watch !!
welling will look to frustrate. if we get an early goal, welling will have to attack at some point if they want something from the game. an early goal is a must and i think their heads will drop and if we keep the pressure on them immediately after scoring we could get goals goals and more goals! i just hope we dont shpw too much respect and only go for it in the 2nd half. got to be a quick start.
A Look And Welling United - Part Two - Park View Road Welling United play their home matches at Park View Road, Welling, London, DA16 1SY. This ground has been their home since 1977 when they took over the ground which had been vacated by the defunct Bexley United. Prior to that date the club had played at a community sports ground in Butterfly Lane, Eltham. Having been unoccupied for some time, the new ground was almost derelict. Erith & Belvedere have been ground sharing since the 1999 season. Improvements were made to the Park View Road ground in 2004, which included a new covered stand. As a result of severe storms and gale force winds in December 2006, the floodlights at Park View Road were damaged. Due to safety reasons all the floodlight pylons on the Welling side of the ground were removed. The floodlights were put in place during the month of June 2007 and are fully functional, one pylon positioned in each corner. During the 2013–14 season, Park View Road had to be changed to keep Welling United in the Conference Premier in the 2014–15 season. These all happened between the months of February and March. please log in to view this image

All you need to know about tomorrow's opponents! Bristol Rovers travel to Park View Road to play Welling United for the second time in 7 days. Opposition: Saturday's opponents Welling United currently sit in 19th position in the Vanarama Conference Premier table with 25 points from their 23 games. Welling haven't played since last weekend's outing at the Mem but will be without their captain Jake Gallagher who was sent off last week. The Wings did appeal the decision, however the red card was upheld by the FA. Dangerman - Charlie Penny: Penny joined Welling in the summer from Championship side Millwall and has had an indifferent start to life at Park View Road but has recently found the back of the net in the recent victories over Halifax and Braintree so he is a man in form. Penny didn't have a great game last weekend at the Memorial Stadium but did look the most lively of any Wings player. Team News: Goalkeeping pair Steve Mildenhall and Will Puddy miss out through injury with emergency loan signing Fabian Spiess is available for selection. Last Meeting: Due to the crazy fixture list, these two sides met just last weekend as a Nathan Blissett goal and a Matty Taylor penalty saw Rovers collect all three points. Listen Live: On BBC Radio Bristol on the 94.9FM/DAB Frequencies.
