Richie Wellens has made a shocking statement. I don't think it's true of everyone (Loach, Hyam, Martin) but its certainly true of at least a few (Chopra, JET). Wellens says he can't ever see ipswich winning a game and that Jewell was right to bring in the loanees. He says the new manager needs to put a rocket under them. Respect to him for coming out an saying this. It recalls that young Irish keeper (can't remember his name now) packing in football because of the attitudes of the players around him a few years ago. It seems to be a problem we've had at this club for Evans' entire tenure.
apparently Lee Martin argued with a supporter coming off the pitch on saturday, don't whether i'm glad because he is showing passion or pissed off because he can't see the major problems at the club!
Well all I really have to go on recently is the Cardiff game when he was everywhere on the pitch and was the only one tackling back.

A rather damning summary of the footballers at our club from someone who has come here on loan! There is nothing new in what Wellens has said unfortunately. Just go back a few years to when Shane Supple decided to retire from the game altogether. He cited the main reason as being with a bunch of players who just couldn't care less if we won or not! There are some seriously rotten apples at our football club and that is why we need a strong man to come in and destroy this rotten culture and sweep away all those that are just here for an easy ride. The problem is that we will not be left with many players once he gets to work. JET, Murphy, Chopra, Martin are four that should be got rid of straight away along with Henderson of course. None of them are fit to wear the blue and white. Cresswell also needs a serious rocket under his arse. Depressing times indeed and whoever takes us on will have a serious amount of work to do to make us competitive.
Reading to much into this statement from this story? hinting at burley? generally, i think we can all name the exact players he means, though just have to look at the other side of the coin Some loans are probably here with a view to a permanant, others are playing for a chance in the parent 11
Jewell has allowed this to happen by being too matey matey. Thanks Richie Wellens for spelling it out. Those who this applies to, I would like to spend a few minutes alone with each and every one. How dare they behave like this and insult our club's history, our fans, their fellow team mates, their employers etc. etc. Make them clean Sir Alf and Sir Bobby with a toothbrush.
