Bloody Wellens, can't even get injured properly (joking, paraphrasing the 'blame Wellens for everything' brigade)

I thoughts exactly. And when he comes back he probably wont be the same player so he wont have a decent sale value and wont be at all good enough for us. And just think in last Jan (2011) Birmingham was willing to pay 3M for him

Thought it was 300k or something ridiculous like that - if it was 3M then we'd have bitten their hand off.

As for not being the same player - he wasn't the most mobile to begin with so it shouldn't make to much of a difference.

His performances have dropped massively from what they was last season or the season before. I have always been a big fan of Wellens but with what i have seen all season from him i dont think he is good enough anymore.

So who do people reckon will get the armband for saturday. If King plays he might if not it will be either Paul Konchesky or Kasper Schmeichel

King or if he doesn't make it then it'd be Kasper given he's had it when the others have been out. Also, the fact it's at Leeds could have an influence.

At the time Wellens was probably the best creative central midfielder in the league.

3m looks tasty now though <laugh>

Yeah at the time i wouldnt of sold Wellens but now i would. Wellens was class at that time and had just completely bossed Yaya Toure, Patrick Viera and David Silva.

Now he cant even boss the Barnsley midfield. He is going down the same road now as Oakley. Basically his legs have gone

Im sure he would be on the backburner if Danns, Drinkwater and Marshall were fit anyway, hope he doesn't do a Clemence and end his career injured though.
