Most people expected a hiding and it was duly delivered so I really don't get the massive angst on here tonight. We are clearly not equipped to deal with the likes of Derby yet but the players are pretty much the same ones that served us so well and gave us a season to remember so perhaps in the spirit of Christmas, it is time to lay off and give the team a break. It cannot be denied that most of us thought that we would not struggle quite this much this year but we are where we are and we need to get on with it and hope that we can get some decent reinforcements in a few weeks time. My only real gripe is that we offer little attacking threat at this level (we won with 2 set pieces last weekend) and that really has to be addressed if we are to survive however, it is pointless continually hammering the owner over and over again as we are hamstrung in respect of our spending until the stand is finished and it is very churlish to tell someone who has probably spent £100m plus to date that he hasn't spent enough. I suggest an agreement for constructive discussion until the end of January and lets review then. p.s. Sir Lansdown is on Radio Bristol on Saturday before the game, maybe he will reveal some more of the grand plan. You can be sure that there is one but as with all financial stuff, it is long term, not a 5 minute job
Let's not forget we won away on Saturday and got 3 points, nothing we can do until January, we've got to support our manager and team as far as I'm concerned, be pissed off with the result that's understandable but January is coming lets see what happens then make a judgement.
Wiz, this is what ive been saying, tonight wasnt a great surprise, gutting yes, but as u say we cant keep looking back and moaning it wont change anything, and SC cant do anything until Jan window, unfortunate but true, lets hope pre-season is put right then to save our season and save us from relegation, Please everybody keep behind the boys, more now than ever, we have so far lets keep it going.............................go on u know u can!
Nice to see the positivity but how much longer can we keep it up? Something must be done by the senior management to step up and be counted to support our beleaguered manager who did so well for us last time out. He deserves better.
HOLLOWHEAD STRIKES AGAIN............. Mind you a winger getting a hatrick ! was that because of our formation! and a strange one at that!
