There will be loads of incidents like this which will go unnoticed by the fantastic leaders we have in charge of our game.

Hope this isn't the start of more to come. If it does continue then the football authorities can't keep ignoring it and carrying on as they are now. People need to be punished for it.

What the hell was they thinking of by holding it in these two Countries in the first place. After watching the Panorama programme and hearing the Chief of Police's reply to accusations of Nazi salutes, it was obvious there's going to be trouble. It was laughable and embarrassing when he said they was all just pointing at something.
Think there's going to be a lot of trouble and thank God it won't be the England fans highlighted this time.

On top of that, the Dutch aren't making a complaint, despite overwhelming witnesses to the abuse, which seems to have included anti Euro 2012 chants too...but EUFA might still investigate...right, that'll happen.

Seriously, who the hell decided to hold it there? Madness.

UEFA have said it was a protest from the locals over them not being chosen as a host city for the tournament.

Why did Poland and Ukraine get the Euros in the first place, they're living in the 70s with their pathetic Neo Nazi opinions. For once I actually agree with Balotelli, I wouldn't complain if he killed a few of those pricks

He said he's going to kill someone who insults him face to face, seems reasonable, you wouldn't go to work at an office and expect everyone to racially abuse you so why should he accept

Correct. God help anyone who does that to MB face to face though.

Now I'm not condoning racism in any sense whatsoever but are you really sure killing someone in response to a face to face insult 'seems reasonable'?

The Dutch team had the chance to set an example here, reporting this could would have made the complaints official, as it is the authorities can brush over the subject and say they obviously didn't hear anything bad enough to complain...etc.

Reporting this would have given the authorities no option but to act now and make an example out of these people hopefully reducing the number of cases in the actual tournament.

I was discussing this very topic at work yesterday.

One of the blokes said he wouldn't be at all surprised if the tournament was called off half way through.
This was dismissed as pessimistic nonsense by most.

Personally I'm not sure that it is.

Someone previously posted that it would take something of 'seismic proportions' for UEFA to get a grip of racism properly in football.

Could this tournament be just that ??

It's going to be a very controversial Euro's IMO and not in good way.

    Watch this space.

    NFU

I completely agree, UFEA have always had this 'zero tolerance' approach to racism but have never really had to enforce it beyond the odd fine.

They have now sanctioned a tournament in a place where racism is widespread in football. It will inevitably make it's way into the tournament and the buck stops with them.

They have to show their stance wasn't just a media friendly sound bite and that they are prepared to act on it.

Sadly you are not far wrong. I can see a few countries walking out if it gets that bad. Enough is enough and if by bringing the tournament to a halt finally gets UEFA out of there comfort zone then so be it. Small price to pay.
