Not that I care how much more the Sun's reputation gets damaged but if you were a Sun reporter & a police officer says "I've got a story...."

You'd only stop running when you hit Nebraska surely!

Do i give a ****? A scummy tory got dicked for doing something that would have gotten a man on the street a £60 fine for a public order offence.

Mitchell could well afford £60, might even have been able to claim it back on expenses (is there anything that can't go on expenses for an MP?) and it wouldn't have hurt him at all. He deserved all he got.

As for the Sun, publishing lies is their stock-in-trade, especially when it comes from plods and tory MPs, so why are we surprised???

Not surprised, just feel it's comical that the police can stitch up ordinary people in cahoots with the Sun, with backhanders, bribes and corruption aplenty, but whoa betide them crossing Tory MP's. I suppose that nowadays, post Dowler, Murdoch hasn't got the same impunity that he had. let's hope there's eventually a trickle-down to ordinary peope in their dealings with the police and the courts.
