http://www1.skysports.com/football/...ointment-will-worry-palaces-relegation-rivals We're up there to play them after the Arsenal game and Stoke away. Given the winnable games they've got in the meantime - Norwich and West Ham, could we be fighting for table position in that one, or is it just a shot in the dark by Parish?
Tony will keep Palace up, and make them very difficult to break down, but his route one style is limited against any good passing side, I wouldn't be worried about him taking over at Palace though!................
He would say that wouldn't he? Any Chairman worth his salt would take that line. They will need a mind set that every game below the top 7 or 8 is winnable. If they don't they should give up now. Pulis will try to give them that belief but despite their win at Hull any setbacks will make it seem like they have a mountain to climb. After all, until the January window they are the same set of players who have struggled so far this season and are mainly those who squeezed them to promotion (except for Jerome, Chamakh and Bannon in and Zaha out with Glenn Murray still injured). Thier first few results will be key and we are one of those. Malky will ensure there is no complacency from our guys and and to turn them over after the stuffing they gave us there last season. It is very much a winnable game for us. We have already sold out our ticket allocation so 3k plus off to Palace again with 2k to Stoke the Wednesday before. There were only Stoke 200 tickets left Sunday (after another 500 taken) and I'm sure they will have gone by now.
Would have preferred playing Palace without Pulis but still feel confident City have the better players. It will depend on the tactics MM adopts; being negative like at Norwich & Villa will play into CP's hands. MM must view this game as a 6 pointer, and go for the win. Play 4-4-2 with Campbell & Cornelius up front; Noone, Mutch, Whittingham & Medel in the middle.
I think we should start with the side that played utd except I'd swap noone in for Odem. I can't even entertain dropping Cowie, he was outstanding on Sunday.
You would think Palarse would have learned from the Dougie Freedman gaff. Steve Parrish we're not ****ing scared. Agreed about The Don.
Lets be honest this early in the season Parrish was not going to say something along the lines of 'we are building a team so we come back from the championship at the first attempt'. You wouldnt expect anything different from the manager or chairman of a bottom 3 club. Cant see them getting 7points from those 3 games. Thats as optomistic as buying sunflower seeds in Belfast.
