I think Milliband's stance here is the correct one. As for Sunderland appointing a known fascist ...if he does enough to keep us up, he will have the fan's support.

I will continue to support Sunderland, but cannot accept the club standing behind someone with these abhorrent views.

Would he have resigned if Di Canio's political views were on the hard left?

    Probably not.

Which is why politics and sport should never mix.

I can applaud Milliband for standing by his principles - but those principles do not seem to extend to not taking our tax-payers money by way of 'salary', - despite the fact that the majority of the electorate have not voted for him ( or all the other MPs )

Milliband is of Jewish ancestry. Small wonder then that he is against someone known for his fascist views.

He had an 11 thousand majority. I don't understand the point.

There are Jews with views across the political spectrum. It is quite common to find Jewish fascists. There is one on this site.

My point was that ( even with a majority of 11,000) his share ( and that of ALL MPs ) is very much a minority of the available eelectorate
( I am well aware of public apathy when it comes to voting ) - maybe IMHO his resignation is not quite as magnanimous as it might seem.

DiCanio admitted to being a fascist... so ****. Is he not allowed political viewpoints?

Under first past the post it gives him a pretty strong mandate imo.

I accept the second point though.

Totally agree. I've got no time for fascists (or communists, or the socialist ****ers party for that matter) and some of my family fought and in one case died fighting them. But Di Canio has stated publicly that he is not a racist. His views on politics are his own business.

I hate facists and the Labour party so they are both losers. Facism is for bitter, jealous people with low self esteem. Labour is for common, working class people. yuk

    Vote Tory
