With these facts on them? Will that sh!thouse MacKenzie back down? Hmmm, let's toss this snowball into Hell and see what its chances are.
Lets wait and see, sorry may not be enough. Actions speak louder than words, those involved in making all those disgraceful comments must pay for their actions.
Kelvin McKenzie is pure scum and both he and the greed whore Thatcher represent everything that was wrong in the 80's and 90's. Arrogant conceipt was rank amongst the police, media and especially govt towards ordinary men and women in this country at the time and all of them should be held accountable for this horrific atrocity and for what was done afterwards and since. However, don't hold your breath on any of them having an ounce of honour or dignity to apologise. PS Hell is too good a place for Thatcher to rot in when she dies.
I want to see if he appears on ITV anytime soon. If the **** has the audacity to appear on TV before issuing an apology, it will just go and show he really has no remorse. I just hope the **** is never hired by anyone again.
Page one emblazoned with nothing other than the word "sorry" would be a nice gesture, but I don't see the point. They can't unconditionally apologise on behalf of an editor who isn't sorry. A front page correction of the record would have far more impact, as they can do that without the need for a forced, contrived or caveated apology.
Good point mate. But up here the damage the S*n did to the reputation of this city and all the continuous lies and bullshit that followed by the rest of the so called press down the years because of it will never be forgiven.
It was only earlier this year that he said, when asked "would you print the same thing again" and he sayd yes. **** needs to die
All the more reason why, rather than grovel for undeserved forgiveness, they instead prominently correct the record. It wouldn't earn them forgiveness or respect, but it would mark the very final chapter in the campaign for truth (the campaign for justice will unfortunately probably take many more years).
Apparently the **** has apologised and said that it has taken him 23 years to realise he should have printed "The lies instead of the truth". Smacks of a man desperate to keep his current employers happy.
Normally I would accept an apology if it were honestly given. However Mckenzie could crawl round the streets on Liverpool naked apologising to everybody and I still would not accept it.
An apology is only worth having if it is meant and sincere, I cant imagine an apology from the disgusting Sun rag is worth the paper its written on and they shouldnt bother. On the other hand i felt David Camerons speech was heartfelt and believable, its just a shame that its taken so long for the truth,a truth most people had guessed at long ago,to finally be admitted. Previous governments are complicit in the lies peddled from the police force through to the coroners office and are a disgrace,in particular Tony Blairs governing period when todays apology really could and should have been delivered Lets hope the victims loved ones can start to get on with their lives now they know the world knows of their innocence RIP
They should be held most responsible for publishing lies upon lies. With regards to the SYP, what they are guilty of is a cover up and denying any wrong doing. Had they held their hands up and admitted they didn't act in the best interests of those involved, they may be treated differently. Human error and incompetence may be forgiven. The covering up is what sticks in peoples gut.
I've spent the majority of the day in my mam's playing with my grandaughter.I have had the TV on since PMQs and saw Cameron's apology and have also seen the majority of the press conferences.I am so ****ing angry that it has taken 23 years for the truth to be told and now i just hope the doubters will shut the **** up.As far as i'm concerned McKenzie is a **** who's apology means **** all.I would love to see that **** walking the streets of Liverpool and telling the people face to face he is sorry. If that scab rag the Sun prints an apology tomorrow it will be for financial reasons and nothing else
I didn’t know any of those directly involved at Hillsborough, but as a LFC fan, I(we all) felt the pain, the anguish at the time and the anger at the lies spread about our club and its fans after. I care not for the apologies coming today from those involved, they are hollow, they only wish to apologies because after today, they have no more lies to hide behind! I care that families of those involved have finally been vindicated, You did not at the time and you will not in the future walk alone! JFT96
Exactly this! If they do anything at all it will be simply another opportunity for them to sell more papers - that's ALL they are motivated by, just like 23 years ago.
