Well its match day and before the day is out we will have a good idea of what lies ahead. My question is, before we kick off, can there be any excuses for us losing, to me no. Now before you start I'm not saying its easy or Fulham are a push over but everyone knows the importance of the game, we are at home, we are level in the table and we have had 2 weeks to prepare. 3 possible excuses, Mig out Westwood in many eyes has proved a better keeper, excuse dead. Larsson out Losing our best set piece player does not affect them scoring, there are other was of us scoring, surely someone in the squad can take a free kick. Excuse dead. Wickham out Ji is an international and Noble scored 3 on Wednesday, excuse dead. Being outplayed, out fought or outclassed would mean we are not good enough, not an excuse. So, a win it is then on to the Wigan game, by the way, the fans were quiet, they wont be if you give us something to cheer about.
Next 4 games will determine whether we have a new manager or even a new owner, ES cannot be happy with whats happening, he either gets someone new in or bails out himself. I am however expecting a win today and at least 9 points out of the following 4 games.
A tough game today,but a win would be a big boost and may kick start the season....lose and i'll not bother visiting these pages for a while as all the "Bruce out brigade" will return.
Not there today syd as work has reared it's ugly head again (away at 12 on call). These types of game even a couple of years ago were home bankers a struggling team at SOL, now however we are struggling as well and I just can't see where the goals will come from. No doubt it'll be 4 4 1 1 (Bruces hand forced sort of) and that has not yielded that many goals so far, this is a strange game to predict but, a game where it is essential we get the 3 points anything less will be a failure and as said there is no excuses left for a defeat. Still sticking to my original 1-1 and more pressure heaped on Bruce and with the next few games against teams struggling like us it could be the end if we do not get at least 9 points from these next 4 games (3 at home).
A close game today. Confident with the defence dealing with Zamora and Johnson. Midfield has got me a bit worried, and Sess will have to be on form, and could shine in a game like this. Someone needs to get a grip of Dempsey. Forwards, no problems with Bendtner, pretty sure he'll get one today, but who plays alongside him is the other worry. Personally i'd go with Ji, sure his international episode was just a one off. I don't see a loss, but i'm hesitant to say a win...all square?
Play Ji but have Noble on the bench. His confidence must be sky high. Get him on with 20 minutes to go or so and he may get our 4th goal.
