What a come back..and by the sound of it well deserved.. Jenkins made the difference i think.. At last TWO up front.. Wonderful for the Argyle Supporters who made the long journey..++++ a happy Mr. Sparks..
Who would have thought we'd have gotten 2 penalties .... seemed quite a fiery match at times ..... impressed with Jenkins ..... how long have we got him ?
Doesn't it make your Sunday mornings just a bit more enjoyable! I might even go out and get the papers this morning, instead of sending, sorry I mean 'asking' the wife to get them! A win away from home from 2-0 down - against anyone - has got to be good hasn't it? As previously mentioned by ABC it was good to see Fletcher play two up front (has he finally come to his senses?) - let's see if he continues with this. Whether or not the penalties were merited I don't know, because I haven't seen them yet, but you still have to say what a 'lucky' win. 2-1 down, 10 minutes to go and you get 2 pens! It's about time Argyle had some luck like that - and long may it continue. Yes, I think today is going to be a better day than it might have been.
well played argyle a great result away against a useful team. i am off to the pilgrims for a mega breakfast. oh and the wobblers have sacked gary waddock. well done the pilgrims.
Just watched the highlights and 2 soft penalties, one for each side, plus a "blonde" moment (and bad keeping) for their first goal. Handball I thought was a bit harsh but after that lump manages to out muscle two players, run 30 yds and then gets felled by a daisy for their penalty probably evened it out. Second penalty for us was right IMHO. Both our first goal and penalty came from some nice build up play with the ball being moved quickly across the deck, getting out wide and a cross into the box. Hopefully signs of things to come. As for 2 upfront if Fletch thinks the central midfield can cope I am pretty sure he will.
Not seen any of the play but don't care. 3 points is 3 points and it did make my Sunday in Coventry, even though it was p'ing down for most of it, a lot better.
This time I voluteered to go AWAYINBC. Normally it is the other way around though. I thought about going to see Coventry as they were at home but changed my mind. Just as well as they lost to Carlisle and I've seen enough of the home team losing in recent years. Me and wifey did a weekend Cotswolds trip on a coach just for a couple of days get away. Coventry is one of the dirtiest Cities I've seen. Litter everywhere and it was like visiting the united nations. Some decent places to see though and it was a change from being at home. Outlying areas re pleasant enough. Weather was not the best but no bears.
Well they could have cleaned it up after 1940 notdistant and not left it as the Germans did. The streets are dirty. Everywhere you went in the town centre was litter filled and scruffy looking because of that not the buildings being more modern. I had a good walk around and there are some nice attractions to visit. Motor museum is interesting for one as an example. But the locals just chuck their rubbish on the floor and leave it there it seems which says no pride in their City to me. Mind you there are loads of students as well who generally don't care also.
sensible.......I have friends who live in Leicester and that is very United Nations as well....in fact they feel the outsiders.
No euphemism notdistant. Coming from the West Country and having a small ethnic number in the population it was just stark the number of non English speaking people in Coventry. The amount of foreign languanges I heard, different ones that is, was huge. I expect to hear some almost everywhere these days but this was a surprise. The implication that my comment was racist is far from the truth. Nothing wrong with pointing out a factual thing and just because something involves race or in this case laguage does not make it racist. I don't care where anyone originates from and I treat people as people wherever that may be. I could have said I'm not prejudice I hate everyone equally of course. I did say that once on an equal opportunities course much to the disgust of the trainer.
