I expect that you'll be thinking that I'm talking about the performance of the Gills last night ?

In part you'd be correct !

It has to be said that the effort was worthy of the result. The same effort was sadly missing on Saturday - but last night the team showed the committment level that needs to always be applied - then, only then, will any natural ability emerge to have any chance of a favourable result.

I was very happy with the result - but wouldn't have been distraught if we'd only picked up one point - because the effort shown last night - if sustained - should be good enough to avoid a quick return to L2.

So - well done Gills - and well done to Thom_the_Gill, henrygills99 & gioblues for making the 'effort' to acknowledge the teams performance.

Completely agree alwaysright. Before Saturday (Oldham) I would have only expected a point at best from Stevenage. I have a fair bit of respect for what they have achieved in the last few seasons so knew this would not be an easy game.

So refreshing to come on here this morning and see a positive thread and last night great to see Thom_the_Gill thread...well done both.

Absolutely….I was glued to the 'Wall' last night as I was 'at home' in mid west France. The message that came through time and again was the effort and the desire to not only be a part of the game but to also try and win.

It was a never say die performance and one that is continually epitomised by Danny Kedwell's tireless effort. He never gives up….and if the rest of the team take this attitude on board for the rest of the season we will be ok. Danny is rapidly, in my eyes, becoming Mr Gillingham.
