    Oxford that is.
As its a quiet night on here thought I'd have a little smile at our Geordie friends FA cup exploits.
Just keeps the slight doubt about how their season is about to unfold.

That's what happens if you don't take it seriously.

The scousers were humiliated too, Klopp's lost the plot.

Not too bothered but it's always nice to see Newcastle humbled.

Oxford totally deserved it. Our line-up was a disgrace and I think Rafa hugely misjudged it. We could and should have put out at least half our first team and gave it a go, we went for reserves and kids and got duly mullered by a well drilled team who seemed to actually know who each other was. Odd that. As for Mitrovic, it says a lot when Murphy is being rested instead.

Oh well, onwards and- hopefully - upwards.

I think what it shows is how weak your squad is. You'd still expect a fringe team to beat the likes of Oxford.

I think that without serious investment next season, you will be almost certainly be in a struggle. I'd guess that your first team now would probably go straight back down, if you were to have injuries and suspensions, like we have had to deal with, you might as well not bother turning up!

Matter of time one of them calls us obsessed for having a mag thread, before running back to one of their many rolling Sunderland threads to brag that they got us 'beeling'.

Not sure but it seems they've realised how very very average (****e) we always said he was. Getting slated by all accounts.

Few people realising Rafa the (newest) messiah isn't all he's cracked up to be as well.

That said, we're hardly in a position to mock!!

Cannot disagree. It's something that has concerned me. Serious investment, to me, would mean a 60m + investment. That's how far off we are. You are in a better position than we are and that is the most telling thing.

Seeing as it hasn't been done yet... OBSESSED!! Although this is coming from a Newcastle fan who spends the majority of his time on this forum on the Sunderland board <doh>

With Ashley, though, I'd expect him to splash the cash a bit when you come back up.

I'm not sure we are in a better position, but I would say that at the moment, our squad has a lot more quality than yours does. I'd expect that to be changed around over the next 12 months, though. It shows just how big the gap is between the Premiership and the Championship.

I meant squad wise. You're streets ahead of us. I hope you're right regarding Ashley. I do not hold such an optimistic view but I can be a pessimistic bastard even at the best of times!

This the 5th round draw I would like.
    Chelsea vs Man U
    Arsenal vs Spurs
    Burnley vs Man c
    Oxford vs Fulham
Wolves vs Millwall (they deserve good draw after beating Stoke and Liverpool.
    Huddersfield vs Boro
    Blackburn vs Leic/derby
    Sutton vs Lincoln.
But in the real world Chelsea will get Sutton or Lincoln at home jammy gets. Man u another easy draw at home also (championship strugglers wigan made them look like world beaters today !). Then Lincoln vs Oxford 6th round, Boro in the semi final and Huddersfield in the final. 2000/1 to win the f a cup Lincoln hehe.
