We have to point out positives when they appear, our website has been pretty much dross since it got franchised out, it wasn't perfect but it was our imperfection which we liked. In amongst the rubbish, awful layout, constant advertising and general rubbishness over the last week we've received a blog from Ben Roberts and well........it's been great, I'd love to see him write a piece each week. It was honest without causing problems, whilst being fun and not too rehearsed and overchecked, good stuff, more of the same please.
Agreed, I wonder if Roberts could be persuaded to continue his blog throughout the season. How I yearn for our old website back...
Different player, different blog each week... could be entertaining... maybe as a regular Programme slot...
I enjoyed the Ben Roberts too, I imagine any further such blogs would be in the match programme...It might be spin, but you do get the feeling that the trip to Spain has helped bring the new squad together
It's quite easy to be cynical here, but I like to think that the club genuinely thought 'we've got a lot of new players here, the fans are gonna want to hear a but about them and how it's going, let's set something up that can do that'. For me, it's another small positive step from owners who are staying true to their word of trying to build our club back again. Finding it quite difficult to be as optimistic as I should be, but this summer has convinced me to 100% support Jimenez, Slater & co until I'm given a damn good reason why not to... and if that means I've been suckered in, so be it, I'll rant later.
Top stuff by Ben Roberts- genuinely enjoyable. I too wouldn't want this to be the end of them. Something I got from the last blog was Tony jiminez using his property contacts to put us up whilst in Spain. Or is that 2+2 and getting 5?
I'd read it in the programme, but I'd prefer to see something in the middle of the week or something when it's all gone quiet on a wednesday. I think this was excellent publicity for the binding of the squad for the fans to feel some hope
the old OS just needed regular updating but I can't see us getting it back as this one provides the club with an income wheras the old one was an expense
New web site, naff, old web site, naff but ours!! Blogg 5*, said a lot. Sounded like they really worked hard and had a great time out there! Wants to see Danny Hollands signing!!!
