Huddersfield care about their fans, knowing that many had already bought train tickets before the Valley game got moved, they are putting on FREE COACHES to Charlton for FIVE HUNDRED supporters, wish Charlton would do something similar, come on CAFC, why not make the Valley Express coaches free for this game to compensate those who are out of pockets because of evil Sky moving the game, should be a good crowd then.
When you say "we're" who's this then Super? nutnut is a bit like that blonde haired kid 'Flash' trying to hound the evil Aussie Emperor Ming and his Sky cohorts out of English football. I say "long live Flash"
Kind of like the royal we - but adjusted to we're. But if your willing to put another £20 up then your more than welcome?
Charltonutnut. It is a bit different as the coaches will still take the fans and I doubt it is booked yet. Hudders fans will have booked the tickets weeks ago to get te cheapest fair. The rail compnies need to be more flexible on such matters of unforeseen SKY bollocks.
NO - Myself and 353 fans who made the long trip to Hartlepool yesterday prepared to pay the £25 and get behind the team. The trouble is most fans will only go Away games when its Stevenage or Brentford and it'll be those games we'll lose because they'll be the ones the boo-boys go We've done free coach away travel before to Middlesbrough and Blackburn both with disasterous concequences And before people start moaning that they didnt have the time or the money yesterday - The trip was CHEAPER than Sheffield United when we took over 1,000 fans and both games took up the entire day
How do you mean? Cheaper in what sense? I spent well over double on Hartlepool what I spent on Sheffield United
Sorry IA I was refering to Coach travel which Charltonnutnut refered to in the first post i.e. I paid £25 for a coach to both Sheffield United and Hartlepool. I just cant understand why people would be needing free travel to Away games when so many of us make the effort week in, week out to travel. I know other people cant make it and I understand but I did cancel any celebrations for my Birthday this year to follow Charlton on the road.
Ah right fair play. £25 is very good value. People can't make these matches for lots of reasons, and I'm certain that they're very good reasons (family, work, etc). The only way that a free bus would make any difference to the attendance is if there's a significant number of people who have the spare time and are willing to sit on a coach all the way up to Hartlepool etc but think £25 is expensive for a 500+ mile round trip... Re: OP. There's a big difference between Huddersfield fans booking train tickets for the match and Charlton fans being put out by the match moving.
Stevenage et al are away matches, perhaps we should all only go to those north of Wallsall. Sheffield is easier than Plymouth and further South. By the it took me 5 hours to get to Luton: reason ; a transporter overturned on M25. Swindon was a 250 mile round trip from Bexley. It takes hours to leave Wycombe. They all count.
