first of all well done to the men, another good performance against a top team this time, got a bit ropey towards the end but got the job done, standing ovation for bellamy who has for me been the stand out performer for this team. also good to see that the stadium respected the anthem. thought butland had a good game, reminds me of joe hart in terms of his stature and confidence that he belongs at this level of football. bring on south korea and Kim bo kyung! as for the women, they've been fantastic so far and topped their group ahead of brazil and a quarter final against canada, a very winnable game, meaning that they could reach the semis or further, well done .
Agree Swamp and have my ticket for sat before i dissapear to France for 3 weeks ,lets hope its a cracker . The women must swap their shirts in the tunnel then is it? .........................;O)
Had to book online ,did 2 days ago so would think they are going fast now as then did not know the teams that would be involved just took a gamble that payed off ;o)
looking now, on the reservation screen...... 'Reserving tickets Please wait while we check that the tickets you have requested are still available. Your estimated wait time is less than 3 minutes. We can only search for the tickets you have requested now that you have clicked Request tickets. If they are still available, they will now be reserved for you.' pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese
Yeah then you have to pick the tickets up at the game so if you hopefully do get any i would get in early to pick em up as can see a full house
Fantastic performances. Let's hope it triggers a resurgence in interest for the national game in Wales.
Well the City always give a good following to Wales and Wrexham clingo .....................looking forward to some internationals at the CCS in the future as well
Don't turn this into another swipe at our fellow countrymen John. Our Swansea cousins support their country as well as we do - or as badly. I thought that all the welsh players have done well for GB and that in itself should auger well for Wales. I just hope that when the national team play in Cardiff, we will be welcoming to fellow welsh folk regardless of their club affiliations.
Seal the leak early, smart man. But yes, after the performances and displays the welsh boys have been putting on for us so far I expect a fair few more countrymen to start attending international games and chanting for Wales. Exciting times!
Thankyou Clingo for attemping to stop the leak before it burst, top man. Another great performance from the Welsh lads. Don't know if you all knew, but Butland is Welsh. Born in Brecon. Know the lad well from his Brecon days and I was goalkeeper in opposing goal many a time.
So is he 100% Welsh with no affiliation to other countries (parents, grandparents)? I thought he'd already been in the England squad pre-euros.
Guessing he must have, as bluefrombridgend has informed me he was third choice for England at the euros.
Did i mention swansea clingo or even Newport ,im just speaking from experience thats all and your statement that swansea support wales as well as Cardiff do is incorrect ,been home and away to support my country and its a fact that Cardiff are the main support followed by Wrexham . Agree that the internationals should be in Cardiff as well as its the only place fit for a big game .
So you spoke to 74,000 fans, and the majority were cardiff/wrexham fans? It is not a fact and never will be.
On the train home to Bridgend there were a lot more staying on to Swansea than got off at B'end - many in Swans shirts as well. Okay only 1 train but as a sample it is worth noting. Also quite a few Jacks sat around me in the last couple of internationals at CCS - they keep fairly quiet though. I suspect the Swans success and increase in supporters on the back of that has made them a little more confident in travelling to Cardiff for internationals. I am still to go to an international at the Liberty so cannot comment on the numbers travelling from east Wales there. In fairness when we used to have big attendances at the Millennium Stadium there were always loads of people from Swansea on the trains home.
Let's not in fight aye? I've had a request to delete the last comment, I've seen worse so lets keep our cool and I'll keep the mod hammer in my pocket.
I'm trying to be the voice of reason here PPBB and keep a balanced view. However, as the norm, JH opens his mouth and rams his foot as far down his throat as possible.
