billy sharp i thourght man of the match quality watch him play for england now next year adkins i hope will also one day become england manager thats not easy to lead a club up 2 divisions like he did
Totally agree Jon - I remember Graham Taylor doing it in 98 and 99 - if Adkins is half the man that GT is Saints should be very proud.
very friendly bloke i met him when charltons home game with them got called off last year took time out have a chat with us charlton fans outside shook his hand this is the sort of manager the fa clueless assholes should be looking at
Jon - if we're going to go with an Englishman I'd have Roy Hodgson for now. Good depth of experience, been to a finals before and seems to know how to handle players. He had it bad at Liverpool but then a lot of that was outside of his control
Totally agree with you Jonny! I don't think Sharp is good enough for England, but Adkins might become England Manager one day but he still has 1 or 2 things to learn yet!Lucky man you are at meeting Nigel Adkins! Hope Charlton go up next season aswell!
its called contacts!he was walking to the coach when i sat in west stand he was very interested having a chat with us charlton fans top bloke hes quite small as well i think i was taller than him when met him!i might ask next time to do his book for him like ive done for me explaining how he got to the managers job now worth a go call it from physio to manager
im going make a prediction charlton will have major signings over the summer and go to the premier league next season we be leading all season like in league one, chris powell said hes going give the squad a chance so i expect see 6 go out and 6 big names come in already we have shelvey, rodrigues, vardy, owen and hargreaves linked also jay spearing at liverpool ive heard as well.if we can get 3 or 4 of these we be up their rodrigues has recently been shown around training ground at new eltham so got be some truth in it
Jon - I really hope Chris powell is successful with you for a long time. He is one of the nicest footballers I have ever met.
