After Sainsburys got planning permission last week to build on The Mem, Higgs wants a party atmosphere next Friday evening vs Barnet and has put several offers on for gasheads to mark the occasion.... We are running a quid a kid offer across all areas of the stadium. The offer is available in terraced and seated areas and there is no restrictions on the number of children per adult. Happy Hour will run both before and after the game, with the bars opening from 5pm. It will consist of a discount of £1 off per pint, on all draught beers and there will also be money off the cost of a pint of soft drinks. There will also be discounts on food from the snack kitchen and at the pasty huts around the stadium. There will be a Meal Deal that will include a pasty/pie + tea/coffee/soft drink + a large bag of crisps + a chocolate bar for just £5. Great to see things like this happen and should happen more often in my opinion. We are bottom of the football league and been a bad 3 seasons and we should be doing all we can to get fans back and offers like this will go along way for some. A quid a kid should be for all games as we want the youngsters to be gasheads rather than wearing Man UTD / Arsenal / Chelsea shirts for example. So credit where its due, the board has done good with this. Plus as this is a Friday evening game, be good if we can then go watch Bath play on Saturday to support them as they need all the help they can get.
Totally agree CJS - we need more promotions of this type. This is excellent and I'm looking forward to Friday night - an evening down the Mem followed by some bowling down the Lanes!
bluebaldee i like this bit.... "So you can come straight from work and eat and drink here at the Memorial Stadium. So please come down and help us celebrate the future of Bristol Rovers, and get behind John Ward and the boys as they seek to retain our League status." http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/barnet-ticket-offer-614675.aspx
I always find that Friday night matches are a pain as usual may struggle to make it unless I get an earlier train. Good to see the board getting there finger out for the kids though as for the drinks offer the few pints I have had have been warm, ok if beer but as its larger its not nice even if cheaper!! The food prices sound ,especially as its better than the rail fare they serve up,I may come straight to the ground so will be hungry. COR
You make sure your mummy and daddy don't see you drinking, it's not legal till your 18 and you will get grounded if they catch you.
