My mate has scored more in Europe than anyone else I know. Mind you he is suffering with a snotty nose because of it.
Fair play Tash, it's to be expected that the second best team in the region would try and take desperate pot shots at the numero uno's. The table doesn't lie, as you so rightly said Just out of interest, how many goals had the 2 games a season wonder scored in Europe?
He's just having a lark mate, trying to hide his displeasure at being the second best team in the North East currently (official..)
I will mate, you just hope it doesn't last 3 years like the last time. After all, we are so far in your shadow, that when we are below you it barely registers
I think we can both agree that both are clubs are quite underrated and that we're both in a "wtf" stage. Neither of us know what lies ahead of us, and we take every game as it comes.
I'll go with that, although I did back us today, I backed us with more hope than expectation. Spurs is a tough game, as is Arsenal for you, but we are well overdue a win at Anfield, and having watched them tonight, I'm not fearing that one bit.
In a way, I expected you to win. City often find it difficult to score against defensive sides like yourself, and a 1-0 win was in the back of my mind for you. I knew you'd nick a goal on the break.
We were anything but defensive today Tash, what we did well was make it difficult for them to play down the middle, that's how you **** City. We were a constant, constant threat, even though MOTD will make it look like a smash and grab. We could have had 6, absolutely SHOULD have had 3.
We gave them possession ion areas they couldn't hurt us and played some great stuff attacking them down both flanks and through the middle. They were carved open 3, 4 or 5 times in that 2nd half and should have scored more. Our work rate was immense and the sight of Tevez falling further and further back into midfield to find the ball, told me we did a perfect job on City's posh rich kids. We won on pure merit. End of.
