Yes that’s right, well done Newcastle, just back and they won so well done.

First half we were by far the better team, made chances but never looked like scoring. Newcastle should have had a pen and if they had Larssen would have walked. Bardo did not deserve to walk, maybe Catts did.

Second half we ran out of ideas, Newcastle got a free kick and scored, so what did we learn, Sunderland that is because its Sunderland I want to talk about now.
Well TBH I learned nothing I did not already know, well maybe one thing.

We, IMO, have three main problems but no surprises. Defence I’m not that concerned about, yes Brown cocked up by trying to be fancy but with the players we have to chose from we will be fine.

Our problems, the main ones, are...
Elmo is not the answer at RW but not to worry, the answer is there, Larssen.

Why is Larssen on the left, because we don’t have a left winger, we must get one.

Gyan we all love, he is a nice man, he cost 13 mil so we don’t like to call him, if he is our goal scorer we are doomed. No longer interested in why he is poor, he just is.

Ji and Wickham are not the answer, they may become the answer but right now they are not.

We need a striker, if we had a Bent on the field today we would have won in the first half.

Not into Bruce out or doom and gloom, not even worried right now or angry or hurt. Newcastle, IMO did not win, we lost.

Splash some cash and get those two players in and all will be fine, don’t and we have problems, big ones.

A good kick up the arse indeed. Get a left back in, a striker and a left winger. Play Vaughan from the outset, and dont play Larsson on the left wing!

Just doing those simple steps would significantly improve our chance.

Oh and cant ****ing wait for O'Shea to come back.

Main thing I agree with is that we lost rather than the Mugs won.

I've calmed down now and thank you for being gracious in defeat. Bring on the home fixture!

This, it was definitely deserved imo

This , it was a horrendous challenge. Got a second yellow for it but should have been a straight red.

I thought the same Syd, thought it was 50/50.

I've seen the replay since though and it was a dodgy tackle. Unfortunate though cos he's not a dirty player, game was already lost by that point anyway.

Unfortunately Bardo did deserve to go. Catts should have gone and Larssen was a bloody lucky boy.

We should have been down to 8.
    Very poor.

Everyone keeps saying we need to replace Bent, question is, who with, there is not many players around that can do what Bent does (and he has only got over 20 league goals a season twice in his career, once for us and the other for Ipswich in the Chamionship over 46 games).

20 league goals was the golden boot last season, and Berbatov scored 13 in 4 games which helped him enormously, its not an easy task these days, and I just cant see who we could get that would get those goals.

and on paper we also have a better goal scoring midfield now, they just need to do it on the pitch.

Many good points there, most of which you also answered...especially the bit about Gyan.

Sid your dead right in all of that mate. I did remember posting not long ago saying what we had brought didn't ecite me, and got slandered, I don't think I'll get slandered for saying it today though lol. If Bruce has a brain he will get a striker or left winger or both, If he dosent I want him gone, it would mean he dosent learn

even with Richardson at LB. Even with Colback on and Gardner on the bench. Even with Larssen at LW. Even with O'Shea out. Even with all of this we would have won today if we had a striker who scored goals, not a fancy dan, not a striker we all say is nice, a bog standard striker who does sod all except score. A Bellamy, Defoe would have scored today, IMO.

Add in a LW player and we would be starting to look decent.

We had a man out there today who is not a striker, who is from abroad and not used to the prem, or the climate, or the North East, a man called Sessegon, he worked hi socks off but he cant do it alone.

Never mind Bruce out how about Gyan start earning your money.

Glad some more are starting to see through the myth known as Gyan.

I stated weeks ago he wouldn't get more than 12-15 goals in a season.

Your spot on about a Bellamy or a Defoe...

Still a long way to go guys, the season isn't over after just this one game. We'll both lose games we'll think we should have won, and maybe even win the odd game where we expected to be beat.

As the saying goes, "It's a funny old game!"

but this is a carry over from last season, we need a goal scorer, I know they are hard to find but I dont want a fancy dan, a good old poacher. SKP would have scored today, well he did, just not for us
