    No matter what religion you are the killing of innocent civilians is wrong. However i do appreciate that neither Israel or Palestine are totally innocent.

    Sport should be something that everyone can enjoy no matter what race or religion. As a result of this fifa should avoid having tournaments in countries that are involved in conflicts like this. Even if people do not agree with moving the tournament on political grounds there is the safety of the players to worry about.

    I think all the players who signed the petition deserve credit for standing up for what they believe in.

    I don't think so Clapham. Virtually all of the people who signed this letter are biased. There is nothing to commend in it, Michel Platini is spot on.
