hopefully he'll get a chance to gain his first cap in an upcoming friendly cos he sure isn't going to play in the tournament! well, unless hart gets sent off or injured anyway. would be a bit disappointing if he was with the squad all that time and didn't even get a cap <ok>

Lets hope that in some way that his inclusion is a reflection of the the way the club has performed both on and off the pitch this season.

Congrats to Ruddy, very proud of him

Gutted for Holty, what more could the man do? It certainly would have been tough to do less than Carroll...not playing at all might have done it.

Massive well done to Ruddy, but it's yet another failure on Englands part that he's 3rd choice and not 2nd. I can't find the quote right now, but I think Roy came out with "Obviously Green is second choice", which sort of gives an indication as to why Holt wasn't picked. If doing a solid job in the PL is rated below doing a good (not outstanding) job in the championship, probably for little more than the fact West Ham are more of a 'big club', then I expect Rickie Lambert, Zamora and Crouch were all ahead of Holt in Roy's pecking order.

I'm just graeteful he's been called up and to be fair Green has a lot more international experience thanRuddy and has still played a few more seasons in the Premier League than him.
