We were louder than the spuds fans throughout last night And I especially liked "we forgot you were here" chant. Great atmosphere from the travelling tigers as per normal!
Well done everybody in the lower tier who refused to sit until they sorted the home fans too. No pushovers ! This was in the lower tier, don't know what happened in the upper.
Great display from what I heard. I could hear city fans all game, no soppy gay fireworks were set off and everyone got in and out safely.
From what I saw most of our fans were sat down (no surprise there) whilst Spurs fans were stood up. Very noticeable to see everyone stand up when Boyd went down. What went on, then?
A smaller team's fans out singing a bigger team's fans- nothing really new, is it? They were quiet because they expected to do us over, and we put up resistance, which was terrific. Our fans must be the only lot to sit down at away matches.
Agreed. Talking with a bunch of Spurs fans after the game they could not believe how well our support was in numbers and vocally AND how well the City squad players played. Spurs were not poor but we made them look poor. Shame that the game was ruined by ref. Oliver who could not wait to award a penalty. Never a deliberate handball. But as we all agreed it happens. Levels out the West Ham penalty we got in our favour. Looking forward to Sunderland now even more to put it right.
No need to stand on the upper deck as the view was great seated. Tottenham also showed how to do Proper Crowd Segregation and not waste space or seats. KC staff take note.!!!!!
Don't think it is the KC staff but more the Safety Advisory Group and the Keystone Cops operating under the name of Humberside Police, allied to the poor design of the KC which have more to do with it. This may be a bit of a shock to you, but fans stand up in upper tiers at most grounds. In other countries in stands far, far, higher than anything we will be going in.And nobody dies and they all get in and out safely. People aren't standingup because they think it is a poor view..
In the lower most were stood until stewards started making people sit down from the front backwards. Our fans argued the home fans should sit too and would refuse to sit until the home fans did. So the back four or five rows of the lower remained standing and ignored stewards if they spoke to them. As the game progressed, more and more of the lower tier stood back up and the stewards gave up.
Good for them. Why should our fans be made to sit down when away fans can come to the KC and act as they want, standing, blocking aisles etc and no onen says a word. Though our stewards are only happy to clamp down on the home fans.
The only time Spurs fans made any real noise was after they scored. And even that was poor compared to our lot.
That's something that's common with most modern grounds, mainly due to high roofs. I thought he meant there was something specifically bad about the KC.
Nothing to do with acoustics. They get great atmospheres at grounds at plenty of grounds with no roof at all in Europe and South America. More to do with too many people as if they are at the theatre.
