Posted a couple of congratulatory messages last night after I got back from a gig, but have now had a chance to have a proper look at your match and feel that I have to start yet another thread complimenting you on an historic victory. Absolutely magnificent!!!! Was talking to some Cardiff mates before the game and it seemed that they were hoping for damage limitation; but as I had said in a recent post on here, at the end of the day it is 11 v 11! Your 11 may have cost a fraction of the price of Man Câs, but you wouldnât have thought it from yesterdayâs game; every player knew his job and did it to perfection. Malky must get huge credit because the way he organised the team was a managerial masterstroke! You defended in numbers and gave the Mancâs no space whatsoever, and then show a ruthless streak in attack! Campbell is a future England international in waiting. It was a baptism of fire for Garcia, who stepped from midfield to defence in an attempt to fill the massive void left in the backline due to the injury Kompany picked up against the Magpies. Man City shaded the possession stats but were nowhere near as effective as Cardiff when it came to doing something meaningful with it! Dzeko gave Manchester City an, in my opinion, undeserved lead but Gunnarsson soon restored parity â it was then the Fraizer Campbell show with two excellently taken headed goals â Joe Hart should consider building on his career in shampoo commercials as his command of the box was pathetic, but that should take nothing away from Campbellâs excellent finishes! The match was billed as a David versus Goliath contest, but an uneducated observer would have been hard pressed to identify which team were the supposed Premier League superstars; with Man City looking decidedly average when compared to the passion and aggression of a Cardiff side that made a mockery of their âunderdogâ status. Indeed, the final score flattered Man City - Cardiff were better than the 3-2 score line suggested! On a historic day in Walesâs capital it would be hard to rate any CC FC player less than a 10, and manager less than 11, but the last word should go to the crowd who were absolutely magnificent throughout; never has the term â12th manâ been more appropriate, the support they gave their team was outstanding â intimidating to the opposition, and inspiring to their 11 heroes on the pitch. I remember our first âbig scalpâ â a 3-2 win against Arsenal â and remember the way it made me feel, and the way it made the days following it so much more enjoyable, and can honestly say that I am chuffed to bits that the good lads and lasses of Cardiff get to have the same feelings (a bit sooner than we did actually ) So I hope that you can enjoy the result and build upon it â unfortunately our season hasnât taken off as spectacularly as yours (and I will not criticise a referee â OK he awarded a soft penalty, but missed a âcast ironâ one!) But we will be challenging you for the bragging rights over the derbies and finishing positions and, to be honest, am really looking forward to it â the EPL is a much more entertaining place with Cardiff in it! Good luck guys in every game save the two against us!
I can see how that can seem true phillip, when compairing the likes of leo britton and the pitbull in the power stakes
