Just wanted to say well done to him for making his debut tonight. I know it was a bit political because we didnt want Ghana to nick him off us but if carroll deserves caps based on this year so does Welbeck. Everytime I see him I think we have a quality little player on how hands. He has filled out nicely and first team football is doing him the world of good. Hopefully he will forge a long and succesful career at the club. I have faith in the boy.
I personally hope we keep him. I wouldnt want to sacrifice him for henderson or rodwell. I think he can be a better player than both of those. He is young, talented, home grown. He IMO is a keeper. At the end of the day I just hope he wants to stay and fight for his position because he may have got the taste for first team football. And someone like sunderland will offer him more.
