Judging from what he said at his press conference he seems a very level headed young man who is highly thought of by all at his former club. I have been a critic of this regime but I give credit where its due as he is the kind of raw talent that we desperately need to galvanise the team. I just hope that his signing doesn't send out the wrong signals to the remainder of our kids who are striving to reach the first team. Welcome Elliott, as you say JWM sounds very level headed young man, hopefully he will be given his chance.
I wouldn't expect him to be thrown in straight away and I see him next season as more of a gradual replacement for Carlos. Having said that Jewell may decide to give him the Right Back jersey quite soon and then push Carlos further up the field. We shall see but all in all I am very happy with this signing as we now have options!
How long is it since Rosenior and Wright left? I think it's taken us three years to sign a right back? Great signing, good start to the summer.
know nothing about him but its the type of signing I am glad we have targeted. If it works out then brilliant, if not its not really a big deal and wont leave us financially knackered. With hopefully him, Cresswell, Carson, Hyam, JET and Smith we have the potential basis of a team for many years to come.
Good signing but as fans I think we have to accept it could take him as long as his contract is before we start seeing how good he really is. If he breaks into the team this year it would be a good achievement. Guess what I'm trying to say is not to put too much pressure on him with comparisons to Bale ect...
