Well happy that Faurlin has made his comeback. A proper pro who always shows class and respect and is well respected himself.

Great work ethic, always able to steady the ship and shows vision too. How we have missed this sort of player.

Once he is fully match fit I would expect him to be one of the first names on the team sheet.

Barton should be taking note on how it's done

Echo that. And to play for 90 mins. Wow! Does that mean Diakite could struggle for a place if Ali is fit? Apart from a mazy run early against norwich, haven't been that impressed with the former so far. And I can see MH persisting with Park in the middle.

Great to hear of Ali's solid performance. He's a true pro. Would love to see him get another 45 mins on Saturday (perhaps could alternate with Diakite).

Ali will be the plug in the huge hole in midfield, sooner rather than later would be nice.

Faurlin and diakite must play in the middle with Park out wide competing with the 2 spots with SWP, Mackie, Hoilett and Taarabt.

    It was Walsall mate!
Agree with flyer....Park on the right with Diakite and Faurlin in the centre.

Great to hear Ale played 90 minutes. Welcome back!

I'd like to see him back playing in a defensive CM with Derry again, unless we do bring in M'bia or another quality CDM.

So good to see Faurlin back. Lovely slick passing though did give it away occasionally. Well done to SWP for his first (given) competitive goal for QPR.

Good win for QPR. Made up to see @alefaurlin make his return to the team. Top player and great lad...

I didn't say Park should play in the middle. I imagine his best position is on the right but based on tonight he wouldn't be embarrassed to play in the middle. I don't think the lower league opposition nullifies that remark: he was excellent tonight and, with Ale, ran the midfield. Very comfortable on the ball imo.

He wasn't very good at all in the middle tonight I'm afraid, unless I was at a different game. He lost the ball too many times, getting caught out, and didn't show himself to the centre backs enough for an outlet. Not his fault, because you can tell he's out of position, and we will be in trouble on Saturday at man city if he's still there. Can't fault his work rate though, and you can tell he'll be a great player in his natural position...

To me I think park leaves the centre backs far too exposed to attack.

As has been said, it should be Faurlin and Diakite in the middle - although Diakite needs to improve performances quickly.

If Park is used on the right wing, he'll make the position his own, because he's one of the few players that have played well for us consistently this season. Hoillett on the left then. Adel may be brought on as a sub for impact as needed. Mackie may find it hard to get into the first team in the absence of injury. Still not convinced by SWP in the big games.

Mackie should be 2nd choice RW and target man. I think he will be suited to battling the defenders and bringing others into the game. At least more suited than anyone apart from BZ.
