I think Lukau is more of a goal scorer but Welbeck can probably hold the ball up and link up better. That said, I can't say I've spent too much time concentrating on Lukaku's performances this season so I could be way off.
Right now I think Lukaku is performing at a higher level. Tho' I thought that about Sturridge vs Welbeck when he was at Bolton. He then went back to Chelsea and spent two years being sulky and average. That's going to be the true test for Lukaku - when his loan is over will he break into the Chelsea team or join the long line of talented players in the CFC graveyard.
comn .. someone who plays for england and UTD one of best sides in world Vs a bench warmer at a mid table club!! at the moment .. it is sure Welbeck ... but both are young, and will develop .. may be in 5 years of times i will have a different opinion
Take the red tinteds off, for 19 Lukaku is phenomenal, he's already out scoring Welbeck in an average side & is getting better every week.
Don't forget that Lukaku is 4 years younger than Walcott and almost 22 years younger than Henrik Larsson. I have evident.
again, sure Lukaku will score more when he is a target man facing a player who is forced to play at flanks and go back defending helping fullbacks.. Bendtner used to score more than Walcott for Arsneal.. guess you will pick Bendtner then Welbeck was good enough to start for sunderland, and win his first international caps while playing for them imposing himself with his quality
Today is Abe Lincoln's birthday. If he hadn't gone to the theatre that night he'd be 204 years old today. That makes him just over 184 years older than Lukaku.
I really rate Lukaku, he should become an awesome player for Chelsea. I'd take him over Welbeck anyday
I'm old fashioned when it comes to football. I like wingers who can cross and strikers who can score goals. That's just me though. As I said, I'm old fashioned.
