Welbeck happy at Sunderland 26 March 2011 Sunderland on-loan striker Danny Welbeck may never return to Manchester United, for fear of losing game time. The Ghana international is happy at the Stadium of Light, and has no plans to return to Old Trafford if it means sitting on the bench regularly."I've not really thought too much about what I'm going to do, but I've really enjoyed my time at Sunderland, " Welbeck said."It has benefited me massively, just to be around with the big boys week in, week out. I'm delighted with that, but the end of the season will be the time to sit down and think about the future.""I'm like anyone else, I want to play every week. Football is my job. I like training hard and then playing in games, but we will just see what happens in the summer."Welbeck has scored six goals for the Black Cats this season, including a hot streak of four in two weeks in November. could be great news for us if it comes off, I'm sure that there is a deal in the air concerning Gordon or Jordan as i cant see SAF letting him go for cash alone, unless his heart is set on Sunderland.
Yea i though about that didn't know if Gyan had convinced him or its on the cards or lazy journalism.
He may be happy here but according to the Manchester United website SAF wants him back. So we may have to find a replacement. www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2011/Mar/Cleverley-and-co-will-come-back.aspx
I really want us to go all out to sign this lad, he is improving all the time and could be a legend here.
.....and in the Daily Mail this morning........... Striker Danny Wellbeck, who is currently on loan at Sunderland from Manchester United, could be the key as the Red Devils look to secure a move for Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell. United will offer the Toffees Wellbeck in a player-plus-cash deal. The lad is going to be linked with a lot of clubs come the summer after the very good season he has had with us.
one of the reasons why we should be dubious about another season on loan, same problem over again. i hope we can buy him outright if not, im with syd, time to move on and get someone else, mind i dont want him as our main striker anyway we need someone more experienced, but as one of the four striker he'd be ideal
Let's try to get him but we should be planning on the basis that we don't. My point is we need to find alternatives and be opening preliminary negotiations. Dib, dib, dib and all that.
Big thing, i think the lads fell for the club a bit. I want him to remain, but only permanently. The lad is fantastic now, and so young, i'd be cock-a-hoop if we signed him long term, the lad is so different, and he's got great skill, and i love his attitude. I'm a massive fan.
