I was thinking last night ( Spanish take that smirk off your face ) how strange this season has been. Start the season flying, then comes Brighton....... Wobble, Reading disaster, bounce back at Leeds.... Then we go 7 without a win.... Then win the last two - yes vs bottom 4 fodder but Keane didn't know how to win back to back games. So after the break, we host Wolves - who wind back a bit were flying, and have since gone on a dreadful run. Great to have Murphy back amongst the goals. I do hate international weekends, though feel this has come at a good time for us. I think some players, noticeably Berra are fatigued and the break will do a few of them no end of good. Thoughts? Very unpredictable both ourselves and Wolves. Can we make it a hattrick - a draw would extend our unbeaten run to 5, orrrrr was it a false drawn vs Bolton / Rotherham and do we indeed have bigger problems than these results suggest?
Will certainly be a bigger test than previous two games. As with any championship game it could easily go either way but I'm confident if we stick with the line up we've been using we can get a result. Causes of our bad run haven't gone away but international break off the back of two wins should have been a kick start we were in need of.
Yeah I think the breaks at a good time - must say I wasn't impressed with one of the goals Gerken let in vs Rotherham - good strike but near post 25 yards a good keeper pushes that away.
I too look forward to the Wolves match with a renewed appetite for ITFC and style of play. Surely, the key difference last few games, is that the same 11 players have walked out on the pitch, more or less, and they know each other. Familiarity breeds confidence in sport!
Think it will be a draw, i know you can only beat what is put in front of you but the last 2............ Not convinced, lets see what happens in Dec, that will give us a far clearer picture!!
I'll be surprised if Murphy starts, I'm sure Mick will go with a front two of Sears and Pittman - especially if sicknote McG is not 100% fit. I think the rest of the team will be the same as per usual - Skuse, Douglas, Bru and AMN in midfield, with the usual five amigos in defence/goal. Hopefully we can carry on from our last two games, but I can't see anything else other than a draw. Hopefully Wolves will have a few missing, and hopefully there lack of form will continue for one more game.
Looking forward to the match after missing the last two home games.Big question is which Town will turn up? Oh no,the dice say 0-3
" I'll be surprised if Murphy starts " Is that on the basis of international? BigAl, what dice do you have!? I don't have any with a zero on it!
Haha very good! Spanish, gimme the latest what's going on in your world? When we both type we end up having a nervous breakdown with one another but when you don't I miss your stuff! Any plans to get to the Uk for any games? I may not be at any until the new year now.
Yes, he's played 2 tough games in a four days - and fair play to him, he was running his socks off. If McG is fit, I'm pretty sure Murphy will be on the bench (but then, can you drop someone just after they've scored a hat trick?)
Murphy and Goldy should be running through brick walls for the rest of the season as I doubt they will have another chance to play in a major Tinternational Tournament.
Westy, Guess what, i was back last Thurs to Tues, bad friggin timing or what!! Looking at March/April or might save it for May, support the boys in their battle to stay up
Haha trust you to say that. Have a nice time whilst back !? Yeah unfortunate timing I suppose in missing us!
Had a good time mate, **** loads of alcohol drunk but man is that an expensive pastime!! Big game here Sat, looking forward to it, big piss up as always an and affordable one at that!! Lets hope Messi is back and he rips CR7 a new hole!!
