surprised we haven't had a thread on Weinstein already. Now Spacey. How many more. Good to see Family Guy keeps getting em right. Summat s got to come out about tom cruise soon surely.
Is Spacey getting a battering from the press? I heard it on the wireless news this morning & they appeared a little sympathetic to him despite it being a 14 year old lad. Not heard owt else news wise throughout the day.
The LGBT community aren't happy that he chose this time to 'come out' as it seems he's only done it to avoid the main issue. To be honest, I didn't know Spacey was 'in'.
There was a good article in one paper about how many supposed victims of Weinstein had nonetheless continued to be associated with him and appeared in more of his films.
Been some hilarious stuff on this. There was a discussion on one morning. Bearing in mind he started his antics in the early 1980s, so this went on under Reagan for 8 years, G H W Bush for 4 years, Clinton for 8 years, G W Bush for 8 years and Barack Obama for 8 years yet some daft female said itbwasxan kndictment of Trump's America. Hillary Clinton has given her twopennorth. A woman who overlooked her husband's carrying one, including 3 accusations of sexual assault which were bought off. Presumably if Clinton was asked if sex with Hillary was as good as Monica Lewinsky he would have replied "Close but no cigar".
I see Spacey has suggested he was drunk at the time of allegedly propositioning the 14yr old.. however then states he can't recall the incident .. begs the question how the **** did he know he was drunk then ? As for Weinstein.. it seems to have been an accepted past time in Hollywood for many years .. the 'casting couch has often been talked of .. women actresses desperate to succeed willing to give up their bodies to enhance their careers .. but people like Weinstein have obviously used their influence for their own gratification .. I can't help thinking why it has taken so long for this kind of behaviour to be outed before now.
True. Though an actor on Coronation Street has been booted out after it was alleged he acted inappropriately, whatever that may entail, and before it comes to court.
Unfortunately that's how it works these days, guilty until proven innocent. In no way do I think sex offenders deserve protection, they deserve all the stigma and abuse they get, but they shouldn't be named, shamed and fired until the accusations are actually proven in a court of law.
