look out for our game against Palace possibly moving. Sky schedules show 2 championship games on Friday 29th and another 2 on Monday 2nds. Given how unfashionable we are probably very unlikely we will be chosen though. Here are the fixtures: Leeds United v Burnley --> Already on TV Cardiff City v Middlesbrough Coventry City v Reading Derby County v Bristol City Doncaster Rovers v Leicester City Hull City v Crystal Palace Ipswich Town v Preston North End Millwall v Swansea City Nottingham Forest v Scunthorpe United Portsmouth v Norwich City Sheffield United v Barnsley Watford v Queens Park Rangers Nothing really outstanding. I reckon they will go for Portsmouth & Watford but the others are up for grabs.
I'm not too fussed. I'd rather City fans go to the games than watch them from their arm chairs. Plus the last match where we were on telly wasn't exactly brilliant, was it?
ditto, much rather watch it live. peversely I am more likely to be able to go to that match if they shift it for TV. it's the first weekend of the cricket season and as I am skipper this year I am kind of expected to turn up. I was miffed when they moved the games from Sunday 8th to Saturday 7th as that is another one that will cause a conflict now. at least the playoff final is a Monday!
Just do a rain dance and hope for the cricket to be a wash out and then hop on the first train to Hull.
and wave to everyone going the other way? the match is in Bristol. BTW, just noticed that the Millwall game is now a 1pm kickoff. another early start to get there in time.
They'll probably decide a couple of weeks before, will probably depend on key games in the promotion/relelgation fight. A lot can change in the next 7 games, they may not want to commit themnselves to a game just yet. Would be suprised if they chose us v palace though, can see the relegation places been confirmed by the time we play palace.
I'm very fussed by it, I'm coming down for the weekend and I'm on a lunchtime train home on the Monday (and an exam at 9am on the Tuesday so I can't stay for a night game whatever happens). If we end up on TV I hope it's the Friday (I get to hull at lunchtime), royal wedding day followed by football from the city that isn't having a single party for the royal wedding. Definately be a call for some "shove your royal wedding" chants.
Millwall vs. Swansea Pompey vs. Norwich I'd be surprised if it wasn't those two games. And to be honest, I'd rather City weren't on TV.
the games on April 29th have now vanished from the Sky listings. They have confirmed that on May 2nd they are showing; Cardiff - Middlesbrough Portsmouth - Norwich
