Plenty of stories in the media today but a few are worth A look

The media are determined to find every available Argentine player and link them to Bielsa and Leeds Utd. We know for a fact that Bielsa and Orta are prioritising top Championship players who they believe will thrive in the Premier League like Benrahama and Watkins, but if Brentford are promoted the net needs casting wider and there are a few stories about Argentine players that have more fact and truth about them.

1) River Plate have spoken to Orta about their player who is leaving this month and suspected he will go to Inter Milan. Lucas Martinez Quarta described as a luxury schemer and creator will be sold for £13.6m.

2) Thiago Almeda is in the news again and wants to speak to Bielsa and see if he can play beautiful football with him and Leeds. Almeda has a £19m release clause from Bielsas former club Velas Sarsfield and Almeda is the hottest property in Argentine football.

3) more and more stories today about Leeds and Man Utd talking about Sergio Romero coming to Leeds. Seems to be a lot in this story as Phil Hay is aware that Arsenal was approached about Martinez which means Leeds are after a number 1 keeper to replace Kiko who must be moving on and to help Meslier as back up. Romero and Martinez are both Argentine keepers who Bielsa knows well. Romero was quoted yesterday as saying he wants to be with Bielsa again.

4) one story that I saw yesterday has more legs today. A striker I had never heard of from Nigeria playing for Club Brugge, Emmanuel Dennis. £21m but only scored 9 times this season so whats the story?

5) Seems some of the lads have hired a jet and flown off to Marbella for a holiday. Tyler Roberts and some of his WBA mates Johnathon Leko (Kikos mate) Kyle Edwards along with Kalvin Phillips, Ben White and young Poveda

 

I had a very satisfying moment this morning by unfollowing the EFL on Twitter

 

Phil Hay has just confirmed that Leeds like Emiliano Martinez at Arsenal and Sergio Romero at Man Utd?

Having spent 4 weeks, 1 week 4 times,on Orkney, he is right, you have to be a certain kind to live there. A mate of mine, who I went with, did just that and loves it.

 

I lived in Scotland for 10 years Gessa but never made it to Orkney.

 

We go to Scotland every February for a week, and sometimes venture up in the summer, other than the midges, it's a wonderful country. Amazing when we toured the west coast one summer, the locals seemed to have more English accents than Scotish ones.

 

I don't like either of them to be honest.

 

This is probably the best news so far since the season ended. I believe its down to Berardi to let the club know he wants to stay on maybe as a coach. However we do know he was going back to Italy to finish his career if we didnt get promoted. He hadnt made up his mind if we got promotion as he said it was a family decision. I believe whatever happens will be Berardis choice, so well done again Radz

I know Bielsa was talked about in connection with taking over at Barcelona when Pep Guardiola left but maybe as he was overlooked then and loved at Leeds now he will turn them down, even if there is any truth in the sun story

 

And yet a few short months ago this same newspaper was saying that Xavi would take over, I'm hoping the Bielsa story is just another case of selling Papers. Also if Bielsa didn't like Pontus due to him speaking out I'm not sure Messi would be at the top of his to keep list?

 

Some of the Barcelona players have also openly criticised Bielsa



I think I'm sounding a little desperate and so I'll stop now and hope for the best.

 

Hmmmmm. Bollocks, we didn't need this.

Nope, I think Bielsa will want to compete in the Premier League after all the effort of getting us there.

If he takes over at Barca what does he have to prove, how does he stand out from the Peps of the recent past who have won everything? In the end he'll want to compete against Pep and Klopp next year head to head to see how far he can take us.

Anyway, it's the Mail Online. They'll be telling us Trump is going to win a landslide in November next.

 

Think Bielsa will say nothing about this and wouldnt touch the job with a barge pole. He does projects where he looks at the whole thing and must have a united board behind him that will do what he asks them to do. Imagine the politics involved at Barca

Also some players like the money but could never do what Bielsa expects them to do because so used to being millionaires on easy street. He wants talented players he can mould and improve....

 

Headlines about Barcelona poaching our coach. Not good but you have to smile. Who’d have ever thought we’d see a headline like that

BBC love a clickbait headline so they have the story on the front page of their sports website. Surprised they haven't linked it to Gareth Bale wanting out of Real Madrid to work with Bielsa
