Poor old Newcastle lost £77m last season so cannot buy anyone in this window as they are sailing close to the wind on FFFP rules as only £105m (I think) losses allowed over 3 years. So they are looking to the loan market if Eddie Howe is to be believed.

When Steve Cooper took over at Forest he used a lot of loan players to get them promoted and he used the players from the England set up to do it as they all played under him at England. Plymouth now have a manager who was with the England set up and he is also bringing in loan players who played for him at England. Darko Gyabi is one of them so pretty confident Gyabi will have a good time and do himself some good. Hard to accept that a few months ago there was an article about the 2 best young kids at Man City who knew they would have to leave to break through. Romeo Lavia went to Southampton and was quickly snapped up by Chelsea. He has been out injured but now back on the grass and expected to start for Pochetino. The other player was Darko Gyabi and after bossing it in midfield for the U21s was drafted into the first team squad but has gone backwards this season, he needs to come back stronger. Ian Foster Plymouth manager won the U20 World Cup coaching England and Gyabi, Steve Cooper won the U17 World Cup coaching England.

Lots of fans now wearing “I’m with Joey Barton” T Shirts

Leeds are now looking to sell Lewis Bate.

Koch now gone for good with no transfer fee, Ayling gone for good and he can play CB too so good luck to Luke, Llorente not coming back and also wanted by PSG as well as Roma. Kristensen now one of the first names on the team sheet for Roma another CB. Lots of action culling our CBs and even Kris Moore sent out on loan a CB.

A complete lack of activity in the transfer window what is our new top heavy recruitment department doing? Oh they moved out Ayling on loan too along with Gyabi. So far our recruitment team have managed zero, yet everyone knows we needed a LB for what it is now 3 years? We now have no LB, RB or serious cover at CB and this window is turning into a shytshow. I only hope the players lined up are waiting for dominos to fall at their clubs, because blagging it and saying we’re ok isnt the right answer.

YEP on Wednesday produced a squad valuation list and in 1st place was Leicester so doing exactly as they should in the league. 2nd place is Southampton who are underperforming but coming good in recent weeks climbing to 3rd so on track. In 3rd place Leeds Utd who are also underperforming in 4th place. Ipswich by the way are 10th and over performing in 2nd place in the league. Failure to go up this season is failure in my eyes with the tools we have at our disposal. Yes a rocky start for FARKE not of his making and an excellent recovery to see us climb the table to 3rd but then squandering it badly in some crucial games. Half the season gone and we cannot have many more failures on the pitch.

Think we'll go up through the play offs this season and it will go down as one of the all time top experiences of being a Leeds fan. Right up there with winning the League, previous promotions and our FA Cup triumph.

    Keep the faith <ok>

Some of the words from Luke Aylings first interview

Hailing promotion-winning boss Bielsa, Ayling declared: "I can't tell you how much him and his coaching staff have done for me and so many other players here. He came in at a time when we had just had a bad back end of the season, finishing 13th I think it was and the boys not really knowing what to expect.

"Then he turned up and he changed everything, he changed our lives, he changed the way we see football, he changed the way we act outside of football, he just changed everything in our lives and I don't think he knows how much he has done for us. He's a special, special man and he's done special, special things for me and this club and I will always be grateful for him."

I'm sick to death of the Bielsa cock sucking. Yea he got up but his stubbornness almost got us relegated.

He's been gone nearly.2 years now and it's Bielsa this and Bielsa that.

Think we all need to wait till the window is over and decide what was right and wrong. I agree we are down on numbers now at the back and carrying 4 crocks in Byram.Firpo,Coops,Struijk who won't play out the remainder of the season for sure. then we have a player in Cressy who the Manager thinks isn't ready who also now seems unhappy. Still see 2 players coming in but it's a hard window nobody wants to shift players.

The Bielsa cocksucking comes from his players mate, not me. You mention stubbornness great shout, what the fook do you think your boyfreind FARKE is doing. Piroe is a 10, Rutter is a 9, we dont need anyone else we have enough cover, ok we are getting beat so I will put another 47 strikers on and take all our defenders off, I will need all our players but I am not rotating them so even though they are fooked and getting beat by shyt teams I am right you fans and the media are wrong. Carry on with the love-in but when he achieves something for the club instead of just talking the talk, then I will say yeah he’s a good manager. But right now he talks as much as Marsch in pressers and talks a good game whereas Marsch spoke for hours with management speak and no substance, Im still waiting for substance and not words from FARKE.

Victor Orta is still at it it and buying players none of us have heard of Stanis Idumbo Muzamba signs for Seville <laugh>

Oh and if I seem grumpy about FARKE it’s because I fooking am. I thought he had sorted it but when we get beat by shyt recently because of his lack of an away plan or Plan B then I’m angry because it means a mountain to climb now and no apology for getting it wrong

Never claimed Farke is my boyfriend or my cup of tea. Frankly the German can **** off now. Didn't want him as manager and frankly with his stupidity of letting Ayling and Spence go he can **** off back to Norwich and eat mustard with Delia.

The point being made is that it’s his players talking him up not the fans. I’d guess how they feel about him is far more important very few of them thought that they’d get to play in the premier league. Bielsa might have got us relegated, we’ll never know because the owners bottled it at the first sign of trouble. What we do know is that his replacements have definitely got us relegated.

You get this bs from every player el Cuckoo has coached. He makes men out of boys. I wouldn't be the player I am today (****ing yawn fest). The fact is stubborn old fool can't last 2 years in a European Top flight.

    He's a charlatan on a blue bucket.

I'm surprised he lasted so long with us and I did warn you he was **** back in 2019.

Yep, and you also named about a hundred players we were going to sign, all of whom play elsewhere. As you say, ****ing yawn fest. Still, you’ll be back in hibernation when the transfer window closes :emoticon-0181-fubar

The reason why the Leeds players love Bielsa is because they were mid table championship players on mid table championship salaries and he transformed their careers and incomes. He taught them a new way of playing, and how to push their physical and mental boundaries.

His man management was ‘different’ as he’s clearly on the spectrum but that gave him a nutty professor lovability for some of them.

They didn’t all love him but all respected him.

Does that mean he was perfect? Nope. Were there weaknesses to his system? Yep. Is there a lifespan to the mental and physical requirements he puts on players? Yup in my view. Does the small squad size cut it over time in top European leagues. Nope in my view.

Hell of a ride while it lasts though.

    Couple of questions Doc:

Romeo Lavia is back on the grass. Is he a racehorse or smoking weed?
Why do you always put Farke's name in Caps?

(Just trying to lighten the mood b4 we meet the horrible Cardiff)

The caps thing is wierd and probably simple to sort, but every time I type it in it changes to capitals and just leave it :emoticon-0148-yes:

Saturday morning and no credible transfer stories, so guess the club are still good at keeping things close

As I mentioned in the OP Newcastle are skint (FFFP) so can only loan players. However I noted that today there is a story on selling Guemares to Barcelona? Then I noticed this comment from Aston Villa: Emeri on selling players in summer: "We're going to work with respect to FFP rules. However, we must be sure we do not lose our potential as a team — even if we have to sell some players". "We are trying to keep to FFP while holding on to the best players in our squad".

Think this is why we need to offload Gnonto and Meslier and add it to the near £30m we made for Adams, Rodrigo etc and invest again

It's being mooted about a statue for Sgt Wilko as he is the manager with the best trophy record behind the 'don', great guy with the true grit of a Yorkie and a team to match with all the quality of fight, sweat, guts and CLASS.......mind you if anyone ever said we could have the same for people who contributed to our downs we'd be inundated with suggestions and probably not enough room for them all, perhaps we could have punch bags situated at turnstiles with pictures of the many contributors and then let the fans have a dig on their way in :emoticon-0146-punch.....can i swap tickets with you mate, i want to go in the turnstile with senor orta today ....hello vic me old mucker ;)

I'm glad you thought it was a good decision to get rid of the charlatan and replace him with a proper coach who is tearing it up in Europe. How's it working out for you so far?

It would appear that at long last ffp is having an impact. Even Chelsea talking about having to sell Gallagher even though they don’t want to. Looks like Everton’s treatment and city’s upcoming cases has scared the bejaysus out of other clubs. It’s great in fairness
