I say go for it - void bonus game and goalscorersHi folks,
Before I publish the league results this week I'm after a bit of advice.....
Obviously the Man City-West Ham game was postponed yesterday and as a few posters had that as their bonus game selection it leaves me in a bit of a quandary as to what to do about it.
My initial thoughts are to void the bonus game for this week and therefore make this week's competition just across the score predictions made for the remaining five games that took place (there were no goalscorers selected this week in any case - ignoring the late changes requested by saintrichie and thereisonlyoneno7 due to the postponement - so this effectively makes the goalscorers game void also).
I think this is the fairest way to do it but would welcome your thoughts before I publish the final table (although to maybe help sway your decision I can say that doing it this way does not affect this week's winner)
Cheers,
jacksk1
You could have a 'pools panel' type result for the Man City game. That way only the goal scorers will have to be voided but it puts added pressure on you to determine the 'pools result', but as you say it is probably best to void the predictions for that game, and as a consequance void the goal scorers too.
Did anyone predict Man city not to win?
Just an impartial observer but I believe that RAMWOK used to award one goal for postponements, Jack.

Hi @jacksk1
I did include this in the scoring and rules as in the following example https://www.not606.com/threads/weekend-10-february.358134/ .
For game 3 It said 1 consolation point will be given if the game is postponed.
Just my opinion but I thought that was fair. Just one of those unfortunate things. A consolation point for playing. No one knows how the game would have ended, could have been a goal, could have been 0-0. The player may lose out or gain.
Jack, it's your game now and you are running it brilliantly and I am sure no one will mind whatever decision you make on this.
The only other thing I would say about voiding the game is that you have set a precedent. Therefore for example if one of the 6 games gets postponed every week this month you would need to keep voiding game 3. Just tough luck in my opinion if you pick a postponed match but making it a bit fairer with a point. Someone who gains this week may be unlucky and pick a void game another week.
Good luck![]()
