... in fairness I was being a tad bullish ... although, as expressed in other other posts too, I was a little bit irritated with even our own supporters pronouncements of gloom and doom ... it has always been about 'the team' this season ... how many times have different individuals stepped up? ... start of the season I was somewhat underwhelmed with our initial forward selections against Sunderland ... delighted to say how wrong I was ... ... and never in a million years thought i'd be saying this, because I thought he was absilute carp under Pearson, but Danny Simpson arguably, for me, deserves the LCFC player's player or manager's player award for what he has done this season ... phenomenal transformation in a player ... rarely seen to this degree ... him and Fuchs have been named as the full-backs in Harry Redknapp's team of the week ... Wherever we finish this season, (1st or 2nd now ) one absolute truth is that these guys go out every week and play for each other ... epitomised for me by Albrighton's high 5 with Jeff Schlupp as he replaced him ... not a hint of damaged ego at having been dropped - in contrast a warm, congratulatory "well done mate - exceptional" exchange ... sums up the whole season ... Ranieri is the glue - the puppet master ... Forza Claudio !
... that one is devil's advocate ... there is always one coupon buster a week ... if the horrible, nasty, antagonistic West Brom turn up it will be an interesting night ... they are also dangerous notonly from set pieces but because in Berahino, Rondon and Sessegnon they have 3 very talented forwards ...
