A nice puzzle to solve for racing enthusiasts is the 1.15 at Ludlow tomorrow. I really like Irish Octave. Grand servant for a small stable who rarely disappoints since competing in handicap chases. Often runs well when given a break for some month. Ground should be no problem. Trainer has had 9 runs over fences in the money from 18 runs this season (2 wins, 7 placed) which is a smart stat for each way purposes. Obviously has a career high mark now but no forlorn hope for me.

Newcastle 13.30 Over 6f I would be all over Brushwork. But he isn't ideally bred for 7f (on paper). I think I prefer Little Jo's overall Newcastle form over 8f to Brushwork's unbeaten record over 6. So I would prefer the 7/1 ew as opposed to 11/8 the fav

I really like Baronial Pride in this for each way purposes. Had a good season as a 2 year old with 3rd places in class 2 events at Newmarket and Hamilton in the autumn of 2018. Clearly could need this but with trainer and jockey in nice form at the moment may well reach a place at least.

If looking for an ew then the outsider of the field Muntadab at 25/1 looks worth a go.

Yes very interesting. Muntadab seems to be overpriced because this is a drop in class and decent pilot booked.

Any thoughts about the 1.45 Ludlow ?

Muthabir won this last year off 3 lb lower. Stable with decent winning strike rate this season (26 %). Trainer does well in handicap hurdles at this track:

    12 runs 4 wins 2 placed (last 5 seasons)

8/1 on offer seems to be a big price.

Dolphin Square for me, form in the book, yard in form and weaker race.

In the 2.15 Big Difference should be in the mix. Showed a likeable attidude 2 runs ago when winning over hurdles at Market Rasen. Finished 3rd of 6 (only 3 finished) 56 length behind the winner last time when the ground was very testing on debut over fences. Now with that experience under his belt on better ground today with a decent conditional (Luca Morgan) up a bold display can be expected.

What is with the forums favourite trainer, God bless him and all that, the mystery of Altior and his entry still live for Kempton.
