With skybet paying 4 places, I'm also going to have look at Cressida Wildes in the 3:40 at Chester - Grace McEntee rides.
Chester's May meeting always takes me back to the early 90s when I was studying in Manchester and used to pop over regularly to that wonderful compact little track (usually in fine spring weather). Great memories The Cheshire Oaks looks to be between 3 trainers who have milked the race in the last decade - Aiden O'Brien, Ralph Beckett and John Gosden (now with Thady of course). The Ballydoyle hopes are carried by €1.85M Frankel filly Minnie Hauk who finished 2nd on debut at Cork (winner Wemightakedlongway won the Group 3 Salsabil Stakes last month and is now rated 105) before comfortably winning a fairly ordinary Leopardstown maiden at prohibitive odds on soft ground. She will need to show she can handle Chester's tight turns and good ground but is obviously a key player given her connections. The Gosdens are represented by Cracksman's sister Queen Of Thieves - she won at the 3rd time of asking by an absolute street at Yarmouth (good-firm) but doesn't have an Epsom entry and her form is pretty ordinary to date. Of more interest today is Ralph Beckett's filly That's Amore who romped home at Newbury in October and was subsequently purchased by Lady Bamford (might she be going hurdling with Nicky Henderson in the future?). Not an original selection but Minnie Hauk can take this en route to Epsom to hopefully recoup some of her pruchase price.
