FORT BELVEDERE Backed last time out when ran a great race first time in a handicap, caught late on by an in form Toto Skyllachy! Up 5lb but still think he is well in on his maiden win in France, the second is a group 3 winner and group one placed I will be amazed of Fort Belvedere isn't better than a 90 rated animal, upto 10 furlongs will be ideal Big bet at 6/1 on 365 still 5/1 coral
14.20 Newtown Abbot- Anay Turge- 10/1 Has been in the form of his life over the fences winning at cheltenham then again at perth, was unlucky to unseat his rider lto and this looks like bit of a confidence booster for him- but if anywhere close to his last form he should be there come the finish line and at his current price there is definate e/w value 16.50 Newton Abbot- Lough Derg Way- 5/1 He ha made the perfect start to life over regulation fences over C&D a month ago, it was his 1st public outsing since sept 2011 makes it even that more sweet. An initial chase mark of 112 looks very winnable based on the pick of his hurdles form, and he has won some p2p in the past too. So he remains open to improvement and should put in a good run for your money
Anyone gonna be on Baby Mix tomorrow on his chasing debut interesting to see if he can reach some of his juvenile hurdle form
Going for the win on amuse me mccoy on board I personally don't like odds below 6/1 but 9/2 prob wont last ! There are a few more he is on before I don't normally back favs but tomorrow will be an excuse otto the great looks good and so does chesnut ben one ben will win guarenteed in that race lol good luck all I cant wait to have a good look tomorrow looks a lot better than todays racing in my eyes
Stuck Fort Belvedere up earlier on the Tuesday thread and LTO. The extra 5lbs makes it more difficult but there's loads of improvement there. Good jockey on board as well. I'm each way but on with a similar punt to Brough I imagine. Only got 5/1 though.
I like Baby Mix and I am excited about him going chasing. He is a fine stamp of a horse who I hope takes to the fences. 5/2 is an interesting price, I think it will either look ridiculously short or a rick at the end of the race. Just can't decide which it will be!
Morning, pilgrims. Hope everyone is in the same health as the horses I back – i.e. great form. Nothing for me again today but Baby Mix’s debut over fences at God’s own racecourse is going to be one of the most interesting events of the racing day with the obvious question being will the big ‘uns rejuvenate the old boy. No selling hurdle on the agenda at the course today though (or at next Monday’s fixture) which I find disappointing. Over the water Mr O’Brien debuts Mars’ full sister in the card commencer at Fairyhouse (5.25). Wonderfully, what a lovely name for a filly by the way (as is the handler’s other runner in the heat, Bluebell), is certainly bred in the old purple and I’m sure is expected to oblige. In comparison though I see old boy Gosden debuts one tonight at Kempers Park monikered Ethel (6.30)! Good luck all.
Decent loot for Baby Mix this morn so some are obviously expecting fences to work the oracle. He’s ‘blue’ across the board on old ‘Oddschecker’. The market that interests me at the min though is a footballing one. I never usually pay much attention to ‘transfer rumours’ but its starting to look more than mere gossip that the greatest Premier League player of recent seasons could be on his way back home to The Arsenal. Here’s hoping and praying...
Nope, old boy, not the ‘Romford Pele’! Interestingly though he was one of my all time favourite players of all time. Actually, if you want to make yourself a little loot I’d make an investment on you know who rejoining The Arsenal by the end of August. All the signs are there for it to happen, don’t you know!
It was your money then that has led to the crash in odds re Baby Mix, I see. I could talk for hours about old Kanu. Another of my former faves. There is huge contention about just how old that chap really is. Some whispers say he may be at least half a dozen years older than his passport actually says!
Are we referring to sexy Cesc Barney? 20 mil could be s teal. Him an ma boy Santi in midfield is making me foam at the mouth.
We certainly are, Theinconvient. Cesc is house hunting in the capital right now (in fact some reports allege he has made a £5.5 million pound offer on a property) and since the recent birth of his daughter has been spending a huge amount of time in London (the soon to be Mrs Fabregas far prefers it to Barcelona). He’s very disillusioned at Barcelona (not surprisingly as who puts the world’s best player on the bench) and under the terms of his transfer to Spain, 2 years ago, The Arsenal have first refusal on him.
I'll never get that image of him bouncing onto the pitch in his leather jacket to confront that cretin, Phil Brown
Great news if Ces rejoins Arsenal. Artetta was the obvious replacement for him but really he is irreplaceable. I wonder how these 2 could work together, having similar roles.
