    3pm Goodwood-Kylian @ 3-1 [Bet 365]

Looked a class act winning last time

In the finalé at Goodwood, (17:20), a Class-3 Handicap over 7f on soft ground, a chance is taken with Love De Vega, who should be well-suited by the race conditions. However, a very tricky event, and so just a modest 'go' for me. Frankie Dettori rides for the Charlie Johnston stable.

10/1 (BetFred/BetUK) best price at time of writing. E/W best option.

Did well to finish close up 3rd as was completely outpaced most of the race, needs another furlong

Hi stick. I assume you are referring to Paddington? No doubt a very good colt but I'm not sure he's done enough to label him outstanding. His time today was comparable to the G3 18/1 winner who was having her first win in 7 races this year. The form with Emily Upjohn not working out too well, as isn't the form against Chaldean. It would be interesting to see how he might get on against Tribalist

please stop comparing times, unless you are Phil Bull.

Actually, Phil Bull wouldn’t be doing such a silly thing.

sectionals are something to look at, and I can see the relevance of them in UK racing but trying to compare times of races overall is bizarre way of trying to work out which horse is the best.

That I will agree on. It nevertheless is a useful starting point. As Phill Bull said "The time of a race doesn’t prove how good it is but how bad it isn’t"
