As no one posted on today's daily thread I thought I had best make it worth Attivos while , As two blank pages might cause upset. I will try to get tomorrow going with a few to follow
Salisbury 240 Edged out carries 6lb extra and has never won two on the trot but 9/2 looks fair as I could pick faults with them all .
Kempton 740 Two 3yr olds catch my attention and I will have a small rf on them . The one is glory in Paris who I ha had a Ron style saver on at 5s. But the other that I favour is election day , Johnson is in fine form and Buick has been acquired for the plate who has been ticking over quit nicely too .I am very happy With 7s available at the moment to take a chance.
Can't let Uncle have all the fun on a wet Wednesday. The going at Worcester is currently forecast good to firm but rain from tonight right through until tomorrow lunchtime should ensure there's some soft in the going description. I'm opting for a modest speculation on Nicholl's Rebel Rebellion in the second race @ 16/1. I don't think this one will be inconvenienced by some ease in the ground and the claimer Bryony Frost has won on 6 of her last 8 rides for Nicholls. Good luck anyone having a punt.
The Oaks trial at Naas looks a cracker tomorrow evening. We've got some fillies with a relative vast amount of experience and some only having their 2nd and 3rd runs of their racing lives. Butterflies tops the current market, racing for Aidan O'Brien but I think there are a couple in this that will prove too good for her here. She has had 9 runs with 1 win and narrowly lost out the last day, arguably her best run. The pair I'd be focusing on both raced against each other lto, Black Ruby and Frima. Black Ruby won that contest by .75 of a length after a good ride, Frima (Frankel) closing all the way to the line. I think Pat Smullen will be wiser to the tactics and with Frima now more experienced, the finish can be testing at Naas and at the current 12/1 I have to back her here. I was on Black Ruby that day so likely could regret the change but there was something I saw from Frima that left me thinking she will reverse that form. Now I just have to hope the rest aren't as good! Lovely race.
for the same reason i was going to put up Wadswick Court for the Bowen team ! 8/1 in the same race however !!
some may recall I asked about declarations for Jungle Room a few days ago. Can those that know how take a look. May be worth a small wager if we can find out when and where.
Talking of Peter Bowen he’s opted to give the 9YO Rolling Maul quite a career shift this eve by debuting him on the level at Bath in a 11.5 furlong maiden (8.30). Certainly ain’t tipping him, team, but it will be fascinating to see how this 9 time winner, in the NH sphere, fares on his Flat bow at such an advanced age. Jungle Room was taken out of a race at Hamilton Park on Friday evening (Kevin Ryan runs an alternative in that heat). That York race looks incredibly hot, after the entry stage, and he would (providing Zap, Green Fortune and Folk Tale are declared) have to race against winners as it’s a novice affair rather than a maiden. You would have to think that Jungle Room must have been showing something, at home, to prompt even an entry in this race - especially from a stable not known for making silly entries.
Don't worry, Uncle/others: if Attivo had shown signs of boredom or inattention, I'd have put my finger in his neckstrap like Hughesy did all those years ago.
If you want to look for future entries you just Google the horse name ie. (jungle room horse) and click into any of the top few listed sites that pop up. You will see an option there for entries and click on that.
Thanks for all of the info chaps, one of the owners was in Spain at a stag do last week and he gave the nod to the lads whilst golfing. He actually said that would be running at either Hamilton or York so he knew the plan. Will have to watch for the early price Friday evening
NON RUNNER so reverse forecast on sir Roderick and Storm rock ( the latter I fancy more after watching his win here over further albeit in softer conditions , with the same jockey ) I may have a small win .
