After yesterday's "success" only two bets for today:

    Chepstow
14,50 Chambard (again) 14/1 e/w Coral five places, 12/1 Lads five places, 11/1 WH six places

    Leopardstown
    Small bet
15,00 Busselton 33/1 e/w PP and betfair six places, 25/1 six places others

I think Burdett Road will romp home and go very short for the Triumph. The Grade 2 juvenile at Leopardstown didn’t look special and Burdett Road could be down to 2/1 for the Triumph after winning at Chepstow

I’m not buying the hype, and if the expected rain comes, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was pulled out.

Fancies in what might become a quagmire Welsh National..?? . had a little each way on ONLY THE BOLD. Two runs his season over hurdles that haven't shown much, but before that 2 wins over 3 mile + on soft and heavy over fences where the comments were "soon shaken up and went clear, went further clear approaching last, easily" and "led and pushed along 2 out, soon clear, comfortably" ... runs off an 8lb higher mark than last chase victory...

I’ve heard one or two people have attempted suicide after following our Forum’s tips.
Therefore, just to make sure they get it right next time…..<laugh>
I’ll have a go with Charlie Uberalles in the Welsh National.
A lightly raced 7 year old, he’s won two of his four chases and his trainer and jockey make the long trip down to Chepstow for a single runner.
I just hope they’re not wasting my Christmas money!<grr>

The Coral Welsh Grand National, a Class-1 Chase at Chepstow (14:50) over an extended 3m6f on soft ground, has its usual competitive look with quite a few having sound chances. Will take the plunge with the Flying Legend gelding, Iwilldoit. Solid stayer and has a squeak to gain a podium finish. Have to hope that conditional jockey, Dylan Johnston (7), can do the horse justice for the Sam Thomas stable. A modest e/w on Super Survivor at SP as well.

10/1 Iwilldoit (Unibet/BetUK) best price at time of writing. E/W best option.

    ....................

    plus a 'wishful-thinking' Rev.Forecast: Iwilldoit/Super Survivor.

Heart ruling head here but it would bring the house down if Freddie Gingell can win the Welsh National run in memory of his mum. Paul Nicholls certainly seems to have got Truckers Lodge in the form of his life but might this be too soon after the London National? Either way I wish young Freddie the very best of luck - he is an inspiration.

Absolutely atrocious conditions in Ireland today for racing. Raining since late afternoon yesterday and still very wet and windy here at the moment. Very tough going today.

Ooh la la Marine Nationale. Consumate ease. Barring the fences he's home and hosed in March.
