Jurgen Klopp or Diego Simeone are/have both done great jobs at their clubs. For me it's tactics and more importantly, philosophy, that's causing the most problems. Would I want Moyes spending a lot of money buying players to fit his philosophy? Absolutely not. I've heard that Scholes was damning on sky sports today. Looking forward to listening to his thoughts.
Someone who can spot potentially top quality young players (eg Ronaldo) and build a new team. Moyes has tried to bring 2 players from Everton and gets one and then gets a Chelsea reject. I'm no Man U fan (but I have to be when my son is around) but what on Earth is Moyes doing? He's not even getting the players to turn up at some of the games I've seen. Problem now is that they will not be able to attract the quality of players they need, nor will they find a manager to fill Ferguson's shoes.
Agree Ron. I'm fed up of hearing how big a job it is to change this team though. It is now but 9 months ago this squad won the league at a canter. Yes players are older. Some are leaving. Some are clearly not good enough. However, Ferguson found a way to make non United standard players title winners. That's the job at United at the moment. To turn water into wine. Moyes isn't up to that role. By telling all and sundry lots of the squad aren't good enough in post match interviews after every poor result can't be helping those players he absolutely had to get 101% out of to stand a chance of competing.
Not sure Simeone would leave Atletico they seem perfect for each other and it takes a certain kind of olayer to play his style of ball which would require United signing a hole new team. Klopp perhaps is more likely, i like him and think what he done at Dortmund is something akin to what Man Red need to do to try get back up there, but as I said it will be a slow burner for them whatever way it goes.
And my main point about this is that if we were trying to play good attacking football I would accept bad results. It's the complete inability to compete with any above average side that winds me up. City are good but they were taught a lesson in Europe. It's not like United have met the best 2 teams in Europe in Liverpool and City and been humiliated both times.

Just a potentially significant piece of information could be that in the 4.30 at Lingfield Billy Red has won the race for the last two years on the trot. Although I am not putting it up as a selection as the form simply does not merit it we all know that form on the all weather should not really count for too much sometimes. The horse is running from a similar mark and has been given a short break to ready it once again. A price of 10-1 could be worth a small investment.

completely disagree... we're already a laughing stock this season why in the hell would you do something like that? seasons gone...actually try in the summer to get decent players to fill the defence and 2 midfielders. We will always attract top players. The name and history doesn't just die overnight. But how we ever won the league last year with this bunch is beyond me. Moyes will come good.
